I will be surprised if Tony doesn't lay the blame squarely where it belongs. The zebra's helped LSU beat Georgia last week. Georgia didn't need any help to lose to Tennessee. The time for excuses is passed.

Florida and South Carolina are the only legitimate threats in the SEC East.

Mark Richt is not disciplined. He seems more concerned with who likes him, especially his hair. He's not a first-rate SEC coach. Not enough physical pain in his life. No hunger. When UGA understands this, maybe games like Tennessee will go well. UGA defense is so full of holes you'd be better off straining spaghetti.

jumbeauxtiger: In the Georgia game, it looked like everytime Scott and Sheppard were in the same backfield, chaos. I think Sheppard doesn't know but about 3 plays, so he is keyed on. If he were ever to chuck a pass, then something besides raw talent might emerge. This was a highly motivated Tiger team that played about as well as it was able, considering the QB play. If LSU were to try to beat Florida, Sheppard as Wild Tiger back might have been interesting. I have the feeling that something else must be going on with Sheppard. I, for one, wanted to see Jarrett Lee after 3Q in the GA game. He is more of a drop back passer. Problem is, he was thrown to the wolves last year, and his luck was extremely bad. He is bound to get his day later this year because Jefferson in the 2nd half looks like a deer caught in the head lights.

Joe Bob,

You are right about Jefferson and I am angry that Miles failed to put Shepard in for even one play and would not give Lee a chance to provide a spark. I don't mind losing to Florida but at least try to win!

There are alot of unhappy tiger fans today and justifyably so. This in no way is taking away anything from the Gators. They are a very solid team.

Thank goodness for our D or we would have been blown out.

Geaux Tigers
Go SEC

I agree about South Carolina. How much motivation will SOS crank up by pointing out to his players that they are the visitors for the Homecoming Game in Tuscaloosa?

I knew that Arkansas was improving when Bama played them. They did a good job of stuffing the Tide's power running game and forced Bama to beat them with big plays. Alabama seemed hell-bent on establishing a clock consuming, plain vanilla power game against the Rebels. It was a good game plan and it worked, but I would have liked to see more TD's and less FG's. Probably good for the team in the long run to win it like they did though?

As others before me have already said, a win is a win in the SEC.

Whew! Just glad to get the Ole Miss game over with. I was more worried about this game than any other including VT, LSU, UT,AU. Could have been a lot better though. As dominating as our D was we've got some work to do on red zone offense.

UF-Great, dominating defense.

Ark- Better than we think and despite their loss I still think AU is going to be a helluva team. They just ran into a Ark team that happened to be clicking on all cylinders yesterday.

At this point it looks like S Carolina is the only remote challenger to UF in the east. The thing is though that there is no way that Carolina beats both UF and Bama so with 2 sec losses even if UF drops one game somewhere they are extremely unlikely to lose 2 games. So it looks like UF has pretty much wrapped up the east after all.

Bama definitely has a decided advantage in the west division race since we're now up by 1 game. I can see us losing 1 game maybe but I don't see us losing 2 games. It will be hard for LSU and Auburn to both go the rest of the season without losing at least one. They play each other so that one game will eliminate one of the 2.

Lotta football still be played though and I've already started worrying about a South Carolina team that is one poor 3rd down Garcia pass away from being undefeated. Its looking to me like Carolina might be the 3rd best team in the conference and certainly the 2nd best in the east.
