[...] 2. Florida- As New Orleans Times-Picayune writer Peter Finney points out, there are just so many lingering questions heading into Saturday night’s showdown between the Gators and the Bayou Bengals. Can we finally consider LSU a legitimate top-5 team after last week’s victory over Georgia? Will the astounding Gator talent surrounding whoever is under center be enough compensate for the diminished capacity of either quarterback, whether it’s a concussed Tebow or an inexperienced Brantley? Obviously, the biggest question of the weekend is whether or not Tim Tebow will be ready to play. Considering the fact that Tebow returned to practice Tuesday, when it was ruled earlier in the week that he might play even if he didn’t practice at all; and taking into account the competitive nature of Meyer and Tebow, the two people most involved in the decision making process, I have a hard time believing that anything could keep Tim Tebow from playing Saturday—right or wrong—but for now it remains a game time decision and everything else, as Tony Barnhardt point out, is just speculation.
Rambling Wrecker, I could'nt agree more with your comment. Every thing I've read and heard about Tebow is positive. I know some folks that lived in the area he grew up in. They are not gator fans but love Tebow. Its just that some football fans are so rabid about their team they can't stand any rival team or player. Its crazy but thats the world we live in.

If there is any doubt that Tebow can withstand being targeted for destruction by LSU, then Tebow should not play. Otherwise and quite morbidly, October 13 will be a great day for a funeral.

At LSU we want to win the game ag. Florida, naturally. But, we also understand that Tim Tebow brings more to the world than a score in a GAME. We also want to beat Florida with TT in the game but again, not if any way, form, or fashion it could hurt him. Finally, if he plays, we don't want refs that are flag happy everytime a defender goes to tackle him. It puts us in a lose-lose.
Tim, get well. You will have a chance to play us again this year in the SEC championship game, just not in Tiger Stadium! Geaux Tigers!

Lord Tim Tebow, prasie be upon him, will play only if he's needed! You shouldn't say his name in vain or bad things will happen to you!

Now, off with you and sin no more!

G8TR,
If Gator fans want to spend the next 25+ years talking to each other about how Tim Tebow was the greatest player ever, I have NO problem with that at all. What I DO have a problem with is hearing national tv broadcasters making comments like, "Spending 5 minutes with Tim Tebow will make you a better person." See the last BCS title game. Another great call in that game came after a bad play by Tebow. "That might be the first mistake that man has made in his entire life."
