TampaGator, as a Dawg, I say that a win is a win is a win. It doesn’t matter to me if it’s by 1 or by 100. (Unless its vs Fla or GT, then 100 would be sweet). So, Florida’s win by 10 shouldn’t knock them out of the #1 spot, and as long as they continue to win, they should stay there.

While heaping prasie on Lane Kiffin for UT’s “moral victory” at Florida, one questiuon remains: When trailing in the fourth quarter, why did the Vols continue to run dive plays instead of passing to try and win the game?

But…based on what I have seen so far….I would vote Bama #1 and Florida #2, LSU #3, and Texas #4. The SEC still rules! I also love it that Georgia fans are ripping Florida for only winning “by 10″ over a good Tennessee team when their team lost to a “decent at best” Oklahoma State team.

Tony, you might have “no idea” who #1 is, but the rest of the sportswriters do…it’s the Florida Gators…check the AP. Deonte Thompson (Florida’s best receiver ) did not play due to a hamstring. Demps hardly played in the game due to the flu. Hernandez played with over 100 temp. Cunningham, too. Marsh is still hurt and played sparingly. Spikes played half the game. If Tebow had not fumbled late in the game, Florida would have won by 30 despite Tennessee just trying to run the clock to avoid being embarrassed. The Gators still won by 10. All Tennessee did was run the ball and they still didn’t have a 100 yard rusher. Florida will get healthy and their offense will come together, and the defense will get healthy. No worries, man. The rest of the SEC will be lucky to beat the Vols by 10. They are a good team, especialy on defense. Berry is the best defensive player I have ever seen.

Good points. I have to say, Kiffin definitely earned some respect points. I admired the way he seems to handle his players, also. I had my doubts, but look out for the Vols in the next few years.
