i feel like Obama having to correct GOP misinformation about Death Panels and coverage for illegals.

LSU under Saban
2000–8-4 with L to UAB and Peach bowl W over GT
2001–10-3 with SEC title and Sugar bowl W over Illinois
2002–8-5 with Cotton bowl L to Tx (wouldve been worse if not for Bluegrass Miracle)
2003–13-1 with SEC title and NC.
2004–9-3 with Capital One bowl L to Iowa

very good record, but not quite as amazing as many seem to remember.

If you wish to review Nick Saban’s W/L record at LSU, then it would be useful to also consider the LSU season records for the previous 8 years before he arrived. That was definitely NOT a ‘very good record’.

LSU is gonna get KILLED by Bama! Actually I think the only team that even came close to threatening Bama this year was VT. Well maybe SC or TN.

Take Bama, Florida and LSU out of the SEC then you have a conference that would be the same level as the ACC. VT gonna spank GT and so is UGA and possibly Vandy.

Now all we need is for Texas, USC and Penn State to lose and it could be an all SEC matchup fo the NCG….LOL……….It should be that way ’cause Bama and Florida are the best 2 teams in the country.

Sorry I had to gloat a little.

UT looked really good. Of course it was the 119th rated team out of 119 teams playing in their 1st year in div 1A.

Lsu gave up 493 yard total offense to a team that has lost 15 straight games. Seems all the hype over an LSU team that won only 3 conference games last year is just that. Hype

Can you name recent SEC losses to lower-division teams? I believe there have been some. And by the way, did Duke not beat Vandy last year? And did Wake not beat Ole Miss? And did Tech not beat UGa? I would bet that it’s not unthinkable that teams could a team one Saturday, and lose to them the next. What you think?

Agreed. Auburn always screws with us, but I’m gonna forget about them for a while since they’ve rolled off the schedule for a few years.

As far as that squad in Knoxville, I’m just gonna act like they’re not gaining momentum up there and then hope it comes true and they go away. In all honestly, the East will be so much tougher once Kiffin Jr. gets the talent upgraded and Kiffin Sr. installs that defense and has the boys running it instinctively. I expect the Vols to challenge us in 2 weeks and in the next couple of years resume their status as the huge hurdle/barometer we start our season off with.

I really like it when the east only has one team that can challenge, but I fear those days are quickly coming to an end.
