I think that the SEC is going to be pretty solid across the board this year. I’ve been watching a lot of the Spring games and scrimmages on CSS and it looks to me like the worst team in the SEC this year will be fielding a high quality football team.

There are lots of questions about injuries and young players in key positions, but that’s just part of college football. I expect more parity in the SEC this year than has been typical in the past several years. There are good coaches and good players at every school.

I can’t understand UGA fans. You got beat. You are not always going to be good. I remember a time when you were not. Turn off the selective memories, take off the blinders and admit that you got beat….Every team has injuries, every team has to reload, and a lot of teams lose key players to the NFL. I remember when Tennessee beat UGA 10 years in a row…the entire 90’s decade 10!! Since 1990, UGA is 3-16 against Florida. Just trying to wake you up. Good luck on the rest of your season.

Les Miles will lose 3 games this year
Bama has a better defense then the Atl Falcons
UF will win SEC
UGA has too much talent to play like that
UT is much improved
AU/Malzahn will surprise people
UK will win 8 games this year

I watched many games this past weekend and was impressed by Fla. (of course), Alabama, Tenn, Ohio State but it was close. LSU, Navy, without their QB Oklahoma is hurting.Penn St. is good. And that thug at Oregon who punched the other player after the game needs to de put in jail.

SEC power rankings after week 1
Florida – no doubt
Alabama – Awesome defense, better run game than I expected, QB will grow into role – Saban is the best coach in the country
LSU – they’ve earned it even if the game doesn’t justify the rank
Arkansas – because it’s there for the taking
UGA – it’s one game, they will rebound
Ole Miss – O-ver-Rated
Tennessee – potential to move up
South Carolina – the ole Ball Coach doesn’t have it any more
Vanderbilt – could be better than this – toss-up with SC-solid team, will have a few upsets
Auburn – frankly an unknown
Kentucky – may surprise here and there but lacking depth
MSU – not this year

I don’t what you guys saw but the UGA defense looked awful the last half of the third quarter and the entire 4th. No I didn’t watch the entire game probably about half of it. Yes, special teams made alot of mistakes and even the offense struggled. The new QB isn’t all that good IMO, I think McElroy is waaaaay better.

In the Bama game Julio was double and triple covered most of the game so it was difficult to shine. Grant should have been pulled early and benched. Upchurch, Ingram and Richardson are more than enough run game. Maze is very good too. Lot’s of talent, it’s just going to take some time for them to play as a unit. Question. Why was the coaching staff limiting McElroy so much of the game? It appeared to me that they should have let him go a little more.
