King and Samuel are just average backs. Richt needs to find another workhorse, big time back who can break tackles and make some big runs. Without good RBs, it will be a long season.

mdawg writes "where does spelling come into play?" Earlier he wrote, "you can't spell team without me!" It is possible that someone is suffering from the early stages of az. His next question is, "Where do you see that? in reference to the statement " I did not ask for a score in the game. Now it's time to give mdawg a brief tutorial on the use and practice of inference. Here it is; The 49-10 insulting defeat is evidence that the Florida Gators showed absolutley no respect to UGA superstars, Knowshon Moreno (see Brandon Spikes annilate him) and Matt Stafford (failed to throw a single touchdown pass in the game). The disrepect is inferred which means that an intelligent reader can use the information about the score to understand the point that was being made; however, the caveat is that the reader must be intelligent to understand the inference and not all readers qualify. If you are asking about this matter, it probably means you don't qualify. It is very possible that I could use an appointment with an optometrist, but it is more likely that someone else could use lots of work with a reading remediation specialist. Your offer to set me up with an eye doctor is most generous. Are you paying his fees; if so, I may very well take you up on your offer. Lastly, regarding the matter with Joe Paterno. He seems to be quite a gentlemen and is well-known for his generous remarks. If he ever badmouthed Georgia, which I doubt, it probably was to say he didn't like grits. I believe the nice people from the state of Pennslyvania prefer cream of wheat instead. That is a justifiable preference. It's probably not worth one's time to carry such a small issue as a useful grudge. Again, your questions were quite easy. I sure hope you will really challenge me with more difficult questions next time. Do have the best day ever!

I went to most Ga games last year with a friend and I told them then that Caleb King was soft and that Samuels was a beast. He won't be as great as Hershel but he reminds me more of Lars Tate or Robert Edwards. As far as him running over Brandon Spikes, not this year and next year Spikes is gone. Ga fans had better hope Richt does not show Samuels last years replay or he will be looking for Spikes the whole game like Knowshon did.

Actually, just to assist someone with their spelling rules and help them with other understandably imponderable questions that seemed to unduly bother them, I have provided some help. Here it is. The word T-E-A-M is spelled in a particular order. In the particular order as recognized by very thorough dictionaries and reasonably educated individuals, the E is located two spaces to the right of M. The letters ME, in that order, do not result in the correct spelling of the word TEAM. The rules of spelling specify the order of alphabetic placement to give the word necessary recognition. The letters ME are not part of the accepted and recognized spelling of the word T-E-A-M. To answer your first question: no.....see the score of the game. The answer to your second question. No, one is not permitted to kid the ignorant on this blog. The answer to your third question: I do not know because I do not know anyone by the name tim te (bum)boe. The answer to your last question: It is unlikely that I am related to anyone from Pennsylvania and that would include Penn State. Finally,in case you missed the spelling lesson above, indeed I and any other intelligent person can spell the word team without me. (see spelling rules above.) Someone had quite a few questions. I usually receive much more difficult questions. I sincerely hope this answer sheet helps! Do have a nice day.

did you say that florida had no respect for glitzy stardom??? are you kidding???
just how many times did tim te(bum)boe run to the camera? he did it after the loss against ole miss and several times afterward to remind us
as far as tech goes.. if they had a star, i would still not be interested in them.
as far as alabama. well its hard to be glitzy when you choked the last 2 games and lose to a bum utah team.

sagacioussamdawg, are you related to joe at penn state?

yes teamwork is great but you cant spell team without M E

Mr. Barnhart.....According to the University of Georgia football team, the star of the team is the team. If Richard Samuel is a member of the team and the team is the star, would that not make him a star already? According to the team, he is already a star......like all the other players on the team. It is quite probable that they are trying to get rid of 'individual stars'. The Bulldogs had stars last year, but they were not so helpful in achieving team goals. It is difficult to understand why they would want to manufacture more stars given their proclivity for being so 'unuseful'. The Bulldogs would do much better if Richard Samuel and any other player would not become stars. The best situtation for the Bulldogs and any team is to not have any stars and rely upon teamwork and cooperation. The 'team stardom' concept should work nicely. Last year's star fiasco should not be repeated. Alabama, Florida and Georgia Tech showed absolutely no respect for for the glitzy bling of stardom. As a matter of fact it is probably better to keep promising talent a top secret. A wise person realizes that stardom is accompanied by both benefits and burdens and it takes very little time for the burdens to eclipse the benefits.

Tony's Top 25 pix could have come from any preseason magazine. Picking North Carolina that high is curious. Isn' this the Tar heel team that got creamed by N. C. State, 41-10?

Also, Virginia Tech is too high in every poll-- easy schedule or not. Georgia should beat a no. 14 ranking. Tony is guilty, like most other prognosticators-- of picking team on how they will FINISH the season, not who's the best 25. And more often than not, the teams with the easiest schedules finish higher. How else could Cincinnati or most Big Ten teams be in a Top 25?
