Tech did not get love because they were unable to win two games in a row - I do not think it really matters if you are 15th or 13th at this point in the year - after all 1 out of 7 is your standard you can only get better - Lots of Luck

I think we all know the coaches poll is a joke. Chances are unlike fans no coach probably even watches one other football game in total when most work probably 80 hours a week during football season. The question should be what do you do about it. I think the most appropriate alternative is to use the AP poll. It is my understanding the AP does not like the poll being used for free. Why not pay something for it's use like subscribing to premium content for a newspaper subscription. Sportswriters do actually watch football games nobody would deny that no matter what prejudice some may have against the press. This would be a larger sample of voters than coaches so it would be less subject to bias if enough writers voted. One thing there should never be is a secret ballot by anybody. This allows people to hide a vote and if somebody is voting irresponsibly maybe some should be pulled from future voting at a point in time or asked to explain a vote if it is an abberration as was Spurrier's Duke vote he was called out on. Tony you would be doing America and the coaches a favor if you tried to kill the coaches poll by you and others asking the coaches directly how many of them actually vote in the coaches poll rather than assigning it to say sports information directors. I suspect the coaches are like you and want to kill this sham. It is time to embarrass the NCAA and BCS by showing the coaches poll is a joke..

RambleOn, I think it is hilarious that you're puffing your little bird chest out about the ACC going .500 against the "overrated" SEC. You know what? You're absolutely right: The SEC going 6-6 against the ACC is a FAILURE for us. What does that say about your pathetic ACC, that 6-6 is worth BRAGGING about? Oh well, enjoy running that punk lip while you can. It all comes crashing down in November. Mark THAT down, little man.

I think Auburn will surprise some folks this year. Regardless of what folsk think, the Tigers do have talent especially on defense, and that Ben Tate is the real deal. That conversion to the spread last season was a horrible move by Tuberville, and was a last ditch effort to save his job. The Tigers really fell apart because of things going on behind the scenes. A team like Auburn doesn't lack talent, they lack confidence. And when they find it, any team that underestimates them will be in big time trouble! I think Gene Chizik is a better coach than he's given respect for( yes Iowa State was awful), and that offense can't be any worse than last year. I think the Tigers make it back to a bowl game this year.
