While watching Game Day on Aug 29, it just wasn’t the same w/o Mr. Corso. After research I found out of his illness. So happy and thankful to read he is doing so well. Thanks for the article. For those who love him, it was great to hear about him and his great recuperation. Can’t wait until next weekend!

SEC test- hey Tony, your the college football guy. The answer to the “undefeated over the last 18 seasons” question should have had a 3-part answer, not 2: Auburn (04), Auburn (93) and Tennessee. Probation aside, Auburn ran the tables undefeated in 93 under “he who must not be named.” As a similarity, Auburn was coming off a losing season, had a new coach, and wasn’t expected to do much in 1993. As much as people love to bash ESPN, I love their coverage of college football, especially ‘Gameday.’ The intro song really pumps me up, “..and we’re coming, to your cit-aaaaaaaaaaay.”

Corso is great for ESPN Gameday. Now if they can find a way to can Mark May and Lou Holtz.

Not so fast my friend… that would be cool but the only problem is that there are more high profile games on that day. Now if they are both having great seasons at that point it could be a different story. But there’s a good chance they could each come into that game with 3-4 losses. Not to rain on the parade, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

As a Jackets fan, man some of my fellow fans are just getting a little out of line in posting. Did we have a good year last year, of course. However, that was last year and this is a whole new year. Let’s go Tech and let’s go College Gameday. How about it fellow Dawgs fans, let’s get College Gameday to come to Tech for the November date…that would be out of this world! Imagine Tech and Dawgs fans for the annual rivalry right there in the middle of campus with Corso, Herbstreet, and the gang to cover the sibling rivalry.

Corso is the man. He’s the heart of the show–without him, there’d be no College GameDay. They all balance each other out. Plus, Corso is a Seminole.
