Congrats Tony. I enjoy your post most of the time. Enjoy your weekend. You deserve it!

Tee Bow is King! Never deny him.

So, you're from Union Point. Did you attend Greene County HS or Nathaniel Greene? Does that mean you prefer fried chicken, biscuit & Taters from the Old "Corner Pantry or Golden Pantry?" I'm not going to ask you about Jackson bbq or burger ranch. How are things in Siloam? Just wondering from one old Tiger to another.

[...] "Reports surfaced last week that Evan Berry, the 13-year-old brother of Tennessee superstar Eric Berry, had verbally committed to Tennessee. Why a 13-year-old child would be talking to any reporter is an issue, but for now let’s set that aside. There are a couple of facts that get in the way of this story. One fact is that you can’t commit to someone who has never offered you a scholarship. The other fact is that you can’t offer anyone a scholarship until they are registered with the NCAA Clearinghouse. So if Tennessee has offered the kid a scholarship then the Vols have violated NCAA rules and the kid can’t commit. If Tennessee has not offered the kid a scholarship, then the kid can’t commit. Now he can SAY whatever he wants. He’s 13!!!!!!" It’s good to be back!
I have suffered anxiety and frustration ever since Saint Simons had his hemorrhoid surgery.

Let's hope he heals up quickly so our lives can go back to normal.

Tide Rising,

Hey, Charlie has lost a lot of weight. Could still use to lose a few more though. Lots of people could.
I don't hate Saban. Don't like him, but don't hate him. But don't think there hadn't been contact through a third party — a corporate headhunter type, for example — and some parameters of a deal discussed. Saban is a professional — he certainly wanted to do the best job he could at Miami — but even if his agent was talking to Alabama or a representative thereof (like a corporate headhunter or Chuck Neinas' firm) before the end of the season, don't think the agent didn't pass that along to either Saban or someone close to him.

SickandTired, since when is a 10 win season a disaster of a season????

It's appears that 2008 for GA was a bit of a "disaster." In fact, if you will rationally think about this for a minute, ANY team that is consistently ranked year in and year out who is finally predicted by many to win the NC then finishes with 3 losses and no shot at the NC would say it was a "disaster," for lack of a better term. Disaster being a harsh term, but it is the reality considering where so many expected the team to be.

Don't you think 99.9% of FLA fans will feel like the season was a "disaster" if the Gators finish 10-3 this year? And how will Texas fans feel if the Longhorns are not playing where many "experts" are predicting them to play on January 7, 2010? Similar feelings will be felt amongst fans from USC, OKLA, Ohio St, and even VT based on what so many people have predicted about these teams' upcoming seasons.

Compare this season for GA, and 2008 ..... if the dogs finished 10-3 in 2009 are there going to be ANY rumblings of "disaster"? I think not. 10 wins is never a disaster. A let down? Sure it is, depending on expectations when the season starts.

You guys are getting a little testy aren't you? You have managed to get undwer the skin of the Alligator mississippiensis. You know, the Gator from Atlanta. Now you are trying to do verbal battle with one who prefers to be unknown. If there is anyone smarter than the last mentioned reptile it would be Mr Anonymous. That person has his facts straight and can quote you chapter and verse. If that did go to Duke law school, I would hate for him to have me on the stand. Any of you Techies would be serving twenty to life!
