Comparing Arkansas to Charleston Southern is beyond stupid. A SEC Team is still a SEC Team. Georgia is a little bit down and Arkansas is on the way up. Will Georgia win, prob so, but it will not be a huge margin. With the way Arkansas is recruiting now is the time to get your shots in. The years being so so with Nutt are gone.

For you Dog fans hammering on Petrino I will tell you one thing. I was able to watch them this spring and my word to you is if a Bulldog had a tail it would be between his legs when they leave Fayetteville this fall. GA will have a good defense, but no offense. I predict the Hogs to win 31-10. I also think the Hogs may well take it to us as well. The difference with us will be if our D can stop their offense.

Why all the hate for the Hogs? I think it is pretty clear that he is saying that Georgia should not make the mistake of overlooking the Hogs. None of us think we are on the same level as the Georgias, Floridas and Alabamas of the world but we are closer now than we have ever been and that is kinda sad. Houston Nutt did a number on our program and it might take BP a few years to get us there, but most of us have faith that he will.

For those that want to keep taking jabs at BP... How many HC jobs has he had and in how many years?

Do you do what is best for your family? If you had a chance at a dream job would you take it? If after taking this job you discovered it just was not for you and another high-profile job came along would you take it? I am not saying he is inocent in all of this but he did not end up in the situation he was expecting and like Saban and Spurrier, he discovered that he was a college coach.

I just think it is truly hilarious how Dawg fans can completely diss and dismiss the Razorbacks (who in my opinion will be the surprise team of the conference this year...WITH a win over UGA) and for the most part, many of you use Petrino's past as your reasoning. Some have (rightfully) questioned their defense and all I can say to that is look at the depth they have returning.

They continued to improve all year and have something like 9 starters back on defense and 8 on offense. These were defensive guys who admittedly got burned last year, but improved and have a full year of SEC experience under their belt and another year learning their new defense since Nutt left. Another of those offensive guys is Ryan Mallett, who actually started and/or played much of his true freshman year at Michigan and trust me, the kid has an arm and he's had two years tutelage learning Petrino's potent offense. You can't really say that's inexperience at the most important spot on the field. On top of all of that, throw in the fact you're travelling TO Arkansas and if this board is any indication of the team, will be seriously overlooking them as a worthy opponent.

Besides...even IF the Dawgs pull out a victory up in Arkansas, it's not like they will win it all. Richt, while being a wonderful man and a very good coach, has proven year after year that he can't get to that next rung of the ladder and win the big one. It's just a fact. He's like Houston Nutt or Mike Leach...good enough for an 8-4, 9-3, and every once in a while might pull out a 10-2 season with a trip to the conference championship, but will never win it all.

NorthSide Dawg, you're QUITE the little daydreaming prophet! NOTHING you said is short of fantasy. 'Fluke'?! 'Flat'?! Your pups won the first half and got blown out in the second half....in the end, Tech stepped out onto the field just like the dogs did and WON! That lsu beat us down in the bowl game ONLY proves that they were the better team that day. Has NOTHING to do with the mutts. ALL it did was to keep us from our tenth win of the season AND a clean sweep of your vaunted sec. Wipe your chin! You have ignorance dribbling from your face. With all that said, uga SHOULDN'T have any problems with ark. HOWEVER, they are fools if they make the mistake and look past them. Old Dog, it HAS been faily one sided....hopefully, we'll step up our part and challenge that in the near future.....GO TECH!
