Agreed Mr Referee, "Rebel Rouser" is not only a total moron, but a total imposter as well. He should be penalized for doing his own stupid end zone dance.

Fifteen yards and a personal foul on "Rebel Rouser" for unsportsmanlike conduct, obnoxiously taunting multiple other bloggers, and intentionally baiting even more obnoxious responses from them in return.

Tone it down an notch----one more post like that, son, and you'll need to go to the internet locker room.

Keep dreaming Jason, First UGA fans said Urban won with Zooks players, he won't win another, forgeting that Zook couldn't win with his own players. Then it was Tebow can't throw, he's not a good qb. Now it's wait until Tebow leaves, UF will strugle. I find it funny how UGA fans cling to these beliefs only to be proven wrong time and time again. It's only proved that Meyer can win NCs by adapting to new situations. You tell me, can you say about Richt? Also, can you honestly think that Meyer will win another NC before Richt wins one? And yes Georgia is a nice little regional power but not a national power. And you did not get screwed out of playing for the BCS NC. You UGA fans can keep clinging to that "he has the best record since..." but who cares if he doesn't win a NC. All that record shows is he'll get you close but no cigar.

Alex, You sound like a fifteen year old kid....grow up! Where have you Alabama fans been the past ten years...Nick Saban beats Georgia one time since he's been your coach and he's the second coming of the Bear? Check his record against Georgia before he got to Bama...I don't see any domination there. How about that bowl loss to Utah...are you forgetting about that...was that a dream? You got embarrassed on national TV. Where was your almighty coach then....he got outcoached from the opening kick off.Your team wasn't even in the game. At least Georgia gave you a game in the second half and only lost by eleven. Don't tell me Bama called off the dogs in the second half...that's BS....the first string was still playing in the fourth quarter. How stupid was that fake punt against Florida in the SEC Championship game....I was there ...everyone in the stadiun saw it coming ....how come Saban couldn't? The fact that you put any credence in what Herbstreit has to say shows me that you are nothing more than little boy thats never even played a team sport. You guys are in for a long season in 09"...new QB,young offensive and defensive line, no running back with any experience....you'd better hang on because that blur in your rear view mirror is LSU & Ole Miss and they are going to run you over. When they do I wonder what Herbstreit will say then?

Dan,

You are a moron to say UGA's program is not up to the standard of all those programs you mentioned. Just look at their record over that same span and there are more wins than all but 2 of those schools. We should have played for two NCs under Richt, but this screwed up BCS kept us out. As for Florida, I do think they are the best team in the nation, right now. As for me, I think it all has to do with the leadership of Teabow. When he's gone they will struggle. There are very few players on that team with any class. Just look at the defense lead by Spikes, who to me, is the biggest THUG in the SEC. Meyer recruits very questionable characters (2 DT's kicked off team this offseason, Percy Harvin) and eventually this will cost him. Ask Bobby Bowden.

What do you think of the gators other stadium? The one in Atlanta it is called the Swamp north, aka the Georgia Dome. It is only 50 miles to UGA and you have only played in three of the big games.

I think when you "compare" different Stadiums and the atmosphere, you are automatically talking about the "big time" games, not the S W Texas or the N E Louisianas. There is a definite difference in the atmospheres, the traditions, the intensity, the ambience, color and pagentry etc etc. Thats what makes the SEC so unique, there are so many big time venues. I think the Swamp is an attractive place because it has color...it's not just a concrete facade. And it's definitely not a pro type stadium, it really has that college tradition feel to it. It's also not modern cookie cutter, it doesn't resemble any other stadium out there. Notre Dame Stadium is not remarkable in itself just to look at, in fact the most distintive feature is the Touchdown Jesus OUTSIDE the stadium on the side of the library. Other than the big ominous "Welcome to Death Valley" sign, and it's sheer size, there's nothing remarkable about LSU. Tennessee, with it's checkerboard endzones, orange facades, massive size and huge scoreboards is a colorful and unique place, but for some reason doen't seem to generate the same ferver you see at a LSU or Florida. Some of the more "modern" stadiums out there are nice, but lack the feel of tradition and are just too sterile for my taste. Opinions???

To the point of the blog, UF is ahead of everyone in the SEC. They are not unbeatable and will have some tough games this year, but they are as they should be ranked ahead of everyone else.

If you bring two great teams together or at least two rivals, you will have a great atmosphere. One great and one sorry team and the atmosphere will be horrible. Two great teams at night and you can feel the electricity. It's about the teams playing not about the stadium. I've been to UF/LSU and it was awesome, I've been to GA/UF in Jax (awesome), UGA/UT (Fantastic), GA/SC in Columbia (awesome), GA/AU(unbelievable). On the flip side, GA/W. KY (flat), UF/W. KY (boring), UF/Miss St. (it was a nice day off), GA/GA. Southern (better than working). It really is about the teams playing, not the stadiums. Tailgating in the SEC is great where ever you go, regardless of the teams. I had better hit the gym so I can lose the weight I will gain in the fall.

I went to a UF/LSU game (in Gainesville) a few years back and it was an awesome atmosphere. I've been to GA/UF in Jax, GA/Aub in Athens, GA/SC in Columbia, GA/Tenn in Athens and guess what...they all had great atmospheres. The point being, you bring two great teams togehter or two big rivals together and you are going to have a great atmosphere. Make it a night game and you can feel the electricity in the air. There is nothing like it. On the flip side, I've been to UF/Miss St, GA/KY, GA/W. KY, FL/W KY and the atmosphere was the exact opposite. When you have a great match-up, you have a great atmosphere. It doesn't matter where you go. Also, I haven't been to a stadium yet where I didn't have to walk what felt like 10 miles to get to my seats. Tailgating in the SEC is awesome almost anywhere you go (Vandy and KY excluded).
