Tony Barnhart is a plagiarist and I am going to turn in the proof to his editors and to the Sports Writers of America. I am going to shout this fact from the tallest rooftops and I don't care, in fact relish, the attention it brings me. And when it is emphatically proven I am completely wrong in my alligations, I will simply say, sorry to you or any AJC employees I may have offended. And that makes it ok because as a blogger I feel that I am just as professional a journalist as you.I would think this parallels Kiffin's position. Tony, will you defend me as well?

Finally! After years of the milquetoast Phil Fulmer, who took every barb from Spurrier and still laid down, Tennessee has a coach with real balls. Precisely to Tony Barnhart's point, look at the hundreds of e-mails this lone story has generated. Do you really think Kiffin gives a darn if you like him or not? He wants the pub and feedback (he couldn't care less if it's positive or otherwise) and, judging by the responses to the Barnhart article, he's getting exactly what he wants. As I have said ad nauseum, who cares if Florida wins 120-7 next year. I can promise you Kiffin couldn't possibly care less. This is a setup for the 3-4 years down the road. As far as the TN faithful are concerned, that's just fine. If 2009 is a throwaway year, it just doesn't matter. But Kiffin has done his job, no matter the wins and losses this winter. For those of you who just don't get it, too bad. Volunteer fans, however, know precisely the score. We understand it loud and clear. So will the rest of the SEC when Kiffin hits his stride. We are more than happy to exercise patience; we can already see the end result. And we like how the scoreboard reads!

Tony it seems like you are WRONG in every article you write now. I always look forward to reading your work but on Kiffin you are DEAD WRONG. Spurrier had proved himself, he had a great talent pool of players in Florida and had Ray Goff, Mike Dubose, Gerry Dinardo, Sparky Woods and Phillip Fulmer as his competition. Who wouldn't be confident?? The SEC has changed and you don't win it by pissing off the other teams and coaches. I agree it is nice to get people talking about TN football again...if you are a Vol....but you can do that in a much more discerning manner....and winning is the way to do it.
