Dustin Byfuglien did not make the trip with the Thrashers to Raleigh for Wednesday’s game against the Hurricanes.
Byfuglien left Monday’s practice early and did not practice on Tuesday. The Thrashers are listing the injury as “lower body.” Byfuglien, listed as day to day, will miss his first game of the season.
With only five healthy defensemen on the roster, the Thrashers have re- called Paul Postma from AHL Chicago. Postma was called up earlier this season but never played after the acquisition of Mark Stuart.

The Chicago Wolves have announced their 2010-11 Clear Day Roster, which consists of 20 skaters and two goaltenders.
Only those listed on the Clear Day Roster are eligible to compete in the remaining regular-season games and Calder Cup playoffs, unless emergency conditions arise as a result of recall, injury or suspension. The Wolves may also add signed junior players or players on amateur tryout contracts, but only after their respective junior or college seasons are complete.
The Wolves’ 22-man Clear Day Roster consists of two goaltenders, seven defensemen and 13 forwards.
