Happy with the Dvorak move. He will be a BIG improvement on the PK!
Stuart signing a big plus. Nice to lock up a good defender.
Schremp > Bergfors. Bergfors might have more points, but Schremp is more physical with a good bit of points himself.
7th Rounder > Modin. If Todd White is “Charmin,” Modin is “Quilted Northern.”

I find it interesting that you say the Wheeler and Stuart was about the present and the Dvorak trade was about the future? I think its the opposite. Dvorak is a UFA.

‘Better for this season and overall’…I agree 100%. Look at the type of players we got rid of and players coming here, there is a big difference and it’s heart. This organization for whatever reason has always had the Peverley or Bergfors type, highly skilled but the effort flat out stinks for the most part. I’d rather havet he Stuart’s and Wheeler’s, Dvorak..etc, no more players in the twilight of their career like Modin.

Now the question becomes who’s going to be the next owner?

When is the news of the two groups who are interested in buying the team gonna come out with their names?

I’m willing to drive up and take the contracts from point A to point B. Geez the Atlanta Spirit blow.

Alan R- great line Modin- quilted Northern. Too bad we couldn’t have had a line if Modin-Stefan and White. All were alergic to contact. Overall good moves by Dudley, especially Wheeler and Stuart.

Bergfors was allergic to contact also..Peverley..Sopel..pretty much all the guys Duds has been getting rid of IMO. Lets beat the Habs tonight, give Sopey some sad tweets.

Well, we definitly needed a better year out of Rich Peverley than what we got. That’s for sure. Antropov hasn’t been at 100-percent all year. Enstrom and Slater were hurt. Sopel didn’t have nearly the impact here that he did in Chicago, when he was logged over 20 minutes a game for the Blackhawks, in the Stanley Cup Finals. Eager wasn’t “eager.” It all adds up to a tough year, for an organization traditionally saturated with non-playoff type performances.

Hey, here’s the best news of all: The Atlanta Thrashers still possess their 1st round draft pick. Re-read that sentence. If you thought yesterday was a waste of time, it could have been far, far worse. I’m not saying that 1st rounder won’t be traded on Draft Day. But, the bottom line is … we still possess it. For the record, I’m fine with Atlanta trading the 1st rounder to acquire a young, tough, highly skilled, fast player, whose rights we’ll control for many, many years. Absent that scenario, let’s use the pick to draft someone good. Might even be a lottery draft pick. At pick # 5, there really could be something decent still there for us, as a potential ‘franchise’ type player.

From Bergfors being out look for Antropov to improve the rest of the year and he’ll most likely have a season just like next year for next season.
