We’ve seen what this team can do when healthy with all the major pieces in place. Alas . . .

Without Enstrom just how effective can Byfuglien be?

I wonder, too, if the owner’s lawsuit/sale of team flap and the team’s failure to pick up any veteran help recently has hurt the morale? Back in November/December these guys were probably thinking they had something special brewing and now they know this team is headed up the tracks. Byfuglien and Ladd are likely thinking more about WHERE to play next year than WHAT to play for.

We do have something working in our favor.

(Really, what?)

Teams are going to take us lightly, overlooking us. We must “capitalize” on their attitude.

Let’s hope The Thrashers can catch the Caps with one eye on the break and take this one.

Have lost a lot of faith in Big Buff lately. No points in 9 or 10 straight games and has given up the puck in the defensive zone time after time after time.

He is a great OFFENSIVE blue liner. He is a bad DEFENSIVE blue liner. So with his lack of scoring and especially now with Toby not there to save is bacon – he is nothing like the benefit to the team he was the first couple months.

If they paired him with Bogo tonight, the Caps might score 8 to 10 times.

Anyway, the team may be in the toilet – but taking the Caps at -135 tonight seems like easy money to me.
