Re-post: Everyone will feel better after Thursday. The Thrashers will win. The B’s are on one VERY fortunate win streak right now. The shootout win against the Panthers and last night’s bogus ref call against Stamkos at the end of the game (Campbell’s kid was the victim if you didn’t see it). It all ends at about 10:00 p.m. Thursday night.

My resume as investigative reporter covered two daily newspapers and two weekly newspapers over half a century TW. If you were being serious that is. Happy New Year. Have lost confidence in Thrashers. Not coach but players! STENDEK

Thrashers fight GCS? Not likely friend. Get pounded is more likely. :( STENDEK

Lots of interesting stuff in the boxscore from last night’s Penguins-Thrashers game. Here’s a link:

Too lazy to click it? Fine. Rich Peverley played 20:50, had 4 shots, was a -1, and played a whopping 8:33 on the Powerplay unit. Ramsay must like him. A lot. Maybe he’s having really awesome practices.

Patrice “The Elbow” Cormier made his debut logging 12:14, with 1 shot, and was a -1, and even had 0:59 of PP unit time. Good for him! I welcome him aboard! Still waiting on whether or not President Obama ever called the Thrashers to thank them for giving Cormier a job, and a second chance at a career in pro hockey, after being indicted and convicted for “intent to injure” another human during a hockey game. If there’s anyone reading this, within the offices of the Atlanta Thrashers, just post here under “deep throat at AS, LLC” to let us know if the Oval Office has made contact.

Back to the boxscore, at -3 were Johnny Oduya and Zach “I went 3rd overall in my draft year” Bogosian. At -2 were Captain Andrew Ladd and Ben Eager. At -1 were Burmistrov, Little, Modin, Stewart, Cormier, and Peverley.

Dustin Byfuglien played a WHOPPING 28:06, with a goal and 5 shots, maintaining an “even” +/- rating. I love Big Buff. He’s fast becoming my favorite Thrasher, in the post-Ilya Kovalchuk era. Loved that Eric Boulton notched a “career best” 5th goal on the season. He only played something like 9 minutes. Boulton is on pace for 10 goals! I hope he gets it!

Toby Enstrom had six (6) shots, got a “helper,” and was “even” while logging 26:05. Not bad, being “even” during a 6-3 pasting, with those kinds of minutes. When people knock Enstrom on these boards, I shake my head a little. The guy is good. And he was a 7th rounder, or something like this. I’d say we’ve gotten a good return on the investment. To my knowledge, Tobias Enstrom is the one and only proactive contract of the Waddell Administration. I’m eager to see what Dudley’s stance is on all that.

I admire Cornbread for his misplaced optimism but almost threw up when I read this…

Right now they are on pace to finish 7th in the conference with 93 points (Hurricanes or Panthers?), right where I had them pegged preseason.

On what do you base that Cornbread? No one knows for certain how much longer this losing streak will continue. Thursday? A week? A month? Into early February? Have nowhere near your faith or optimism. Not after a heartless three goal debacle. Do not understand power play criticism. Lot of really pretty passes. No shots. Just pretty passes. Sweet. Happy New Year. STENDEK

This is my Team!!!!
I’ve lost nothing!!!!
I choose to accentuate the positive as it’s entirely too easy, and ball-less, to bitch about the obvious.

Know why Thrashers are heartless a$$holes who simply do not give a damn? Listen to learn! Untalented uncaring scumballs had opportunity to put skids on scoring streak of Cynthia Crosscheck. I do not not give a damn if they lost game 10-0. Close to that score anyway. Would have meant accomplishment no other team had been able to achieve against Tuxedos. Thrashers guided a$$ to goal as he scored twice. Missed another hat trick by teammate tip. Streak intact! Thanks for nothing quitters. Know who DID step up to slap arrogant Tuxedo down? Lowly Islanders. Not only did Isles betch slap the loser for no points but they defeated the unbeatables! Congratulations Islanders. Well done! As for Thrashers I say f^^^ off scum. May losing streak continue for a long, long, LONG time! STENDEK

Patient: Stendek
Diagnosis: Bipolar Disorder
Notes: Patient experiences violent mood swings. Periods of elation are quickly followed by severe despondency with an increased level of emotional sensitivity. Patient is prone to public outbursts. An interesting correlation is emerging between the patient’s emotional fragility and the success of a certain NHL hockey team.
Treatment: Heavy doses of Thorazine .
