* Entering Saturday, the Thrashers had the No. 3 power play in the NHL (23 of 94, 24.5 percent). The team’s penalty kill is 24th in the league (17 of 80, 78.8 percent) but has allowed only one goal in 16 chances over the past five games.

Thrashers will teach the Atlanta Bruin bandwagoners that it’s time to put away the smelly old shirts and join the Boys of Blueland, much like they have done to the Wings and Habs wannabees.

This is about to be the best Thanksgiving of hockey ever!! Won’t be surprised to see attendance really soar after this rivalry weekend of college football is over.

I counted 112 Habs’ jerseys and 215 Wings’ jerseys in the dumpster outside Philips Arena. There is a change a coming, I can feel it. The wheels on the wagon need to be replaced, the bearings packed, the horses washed, because this wagon is going to start getting full! Mark my words!
