If Kari is not ready opening night, it will be Manny. Detroit had him didn't they? Are they not the top orgin-I-zation in the NHL? Where are the redwing fans to shed some light on him?

I would love to see a feature on Marty Reasoner and get his take on the "new" Thrashers and what he expects from the team this year. He seems like a really personable guy and I wonder if the ASG will utilize Marty a bit more when it comes to PR work, advertising and the like. But then again, I have a man-crush on Marty the Party.

I would be curious to hear from Joey Crabb to find out what JA and the coaches told him he needed to work on in order to crack the line-up this season. Obviously, they like his speed and grit, but I'm wondering if he feels like he has a good shot at fulfilling expectations in camp.

Thanks Viv for all of the recent articles / quotes and blogs...keep 'em coming. And enjoy all of the spirited action today (if they've got anything left after last night) between the Preds and Thrash prospects!

Viv - I triple dog dare (think the movie A Christmas Story) you to ask Kovy if he wanted the Thrashers to sign Zherdev. When he answers watch his body language. If his eyes open up and/or he has a sly smile for just a second, the answer is yes.

Also, Could you ask DW if he's still working the phones for a possible deal involving a goalie and/or something else? All he said from around the trading deadline until the end of July was that they were going to package a goalie to help aquire new assets. And that was before he signed two more quality minor league goalies and now brought in Legs on a tryout. He has some options if he can find a viable trading partner.

So who's our legit number one at the moment? Who the hell knows right now.

Chris-I'd like to know what type of response Pavs gives you or others about going back to Chicago if he doesn't make the team. I have to think, if he plays better than everyone else, he'll make the opening night roster and play for a while, at least until Kari is fully healthy.
