Good grief man, some of you need some antidepressants badly!!

Maybe bringing in Kubina,Antropov helps with puck possesion. A better defense(controlling the play) instead of a bunch of shot blockers(reacting to the play).

Don't know bout some of you,but I'd rather be in control of the play instead of running around reacting to it cause it hasn't never worked here at all before.

I don't know if Wadell did it on purpose, after Heatley and Hossa, but both Kubina and Andropov are both cool as hell. Really great guys in the locker room and on the ice.

Thrashers have really improved themselves in last 24 hours Kubina and now Antropov
It has been a very good 24 hours. Now they need to unload a Goalie for hopefully another forward

Anyone who thinks this is a bad trade had no clue what they are talking about. Just getting rid of Exlby was an upgrade no matter who we got back. He was a defensive liabilty every time he stepped on the ice. His positioning was terrible and he was chose the wrong time to go for a hit leaving his partner exposed. Kubina is a good defenseman and solidifies the top 4. He's got great size and decent mobolity and he can move the puck. He's also got a cannon of a Right Handed shot which are always plusses on any defense. Now, you have two lefties and two righties in the top 4. Keep Hainsey and Bogosian together and pair Kubina with Enstrom and that's a pretty good top 4. Defense has always been the weakness of Thrasher teams and it seems like Waddell has finally realized this and done something about it.

Wow. Do you guys see what's going on with Ottawa and Heatley? Crazy stuff. Strange how both Heatley and Hossa are headcases. Wouldn't want either on my team now. Gotta think Don is smiling about this right now...

any attempt to improve the minor league hockey in atlanta will be welcomed. the thrashers are going to be able to compete against the cottonmouths and gladiators if they continue to bring in the great players they have been getting

Don't underestimate Stapleton. He never really got a shot with the Leafs, and was responsible for a lot of Ville Leino's goals on their line in Finland. He led the Marlies in scoring and was their mvp. Sixth in the league in scoring and led the league in PP goals. This is what he did the night he was called up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJDzE82TO6Y.

I'd like to see what he does if he gets a legitimate shot.

I'm aware that TSN has been claiming this was a salary cap move as well, but I have not read or watched anything showing the leafs saying this. Accounting wise that argument simply doesn't make sense to me, the leafs have tons of cap room and are the furthest team away from having financial issues.

I like the trade a lot. Any Atlanta fan who has doubts should simply check out message boards for the Maple Leafs. The comments I've seen are almost 100% against the trade and they think that the trade was horribly lopsided in favor of the Thrashers.
