Stand Out in a Crowd

Karmaloop.com: The online boutique is known for funky accessories that will make you stand out from the crowd. Take 15 percent off your order of $85 or more through Friday with code THANKS12. Personally, I love the The Riga Hat by deLux ($39) – warm and almost too much fun.

Obaz.com: Imagine having a personal shopper showcase a plethora of unique items to you, one by one, allowing you to build a wish list in seconds that customizes to your taste the more you browse. That’s the basis behind the interactive shopping experience that is oBaz.com. This virtual boutique displays the best in undiscovered brands and designers. Categories include jewelry, clothing, accessories, bags, home, gifts and more. Many items are on sale and a few of my favorites include the Loladress by Lovers + Friends ($80 sale, $165 retail), a jewelry organizer by B.D. ($40 sale, $50 retail) and designer flower petal soaps by Sensual Scentsations ($16 sale, $20 retail). You also can sell your own items to fund your new habit and post finds to Pinterest.

Black Friday Bustle

After your turkey coma is complete, it’s time to plan your attack on Black Friday shopping! I recommend starting online with the following websites to cut through the clutter and get straight to the savings. BFAds.net is the largest site dedicated to Black Friday sales, organized by retailer. This site also has a great guides section grouping hot holiday toys and more, hot deals for popular items and ad scans for major retailers in one spot. TheBlackFriday.com lists the latest and greatest deals as they are announced, store hours and has a great category section for tech deals, etc. Finally, Amazon.com has a Black Friday Deals store so that you can shop right at home or from your phone via Amazon.com/mobileapp. A couple of great deals I found include 70 percent off of men’s watches and 40 percent off of iPad cases. Also check out Amazon.com/electronicsgiftlist for the newest, top-rated items.

Lights, Shopping, Action

My favorite cue that the holiday shopping season is officially on is the lighting of the tree by Macy’s Lenox Square. This year marks the 65th Annual Great Tree Lighting event, set to take place on Thanksgiving, November 22, beginning at 6:15 p.m. with performances by Trace Adkins, a fireworks finale and more. Not only is this a magic-filled and free event for the family, but a reminder to start creating your shopping lists. Macys.com has already compiled its holiday gift guide, filled with options at under $25, $50 and $100 price points, as well as the Top 10 Gifts and deals in multiple categories, such as a Keurig coffee maker for $180 (regularly $260). Deals subject to change. Shop online or make your list by visiting Macys.com.
