No girl should have to forgo a Cinderella moment based on a lack of budget. Many teens across America are already looking forward to prom this spring and Becca’s Closet is their fairy godmother. A non-profit group operating nationally to provide new and lightly used dresses to girls who need them. Becca’s Closet was started by a generous Florida teen, Rebecca Kirtman, who started collecting and distributing dresses out of her own closet but tragically died in a car accident before she graduated high school. Since then, her friends, family and volunteers in over 75 active chapters worldwide have kept her dream alive. Three local chapters include Walton High School, Kennesaw Mountain High School and North Cobb High School, who have collectively garnered over 2,000 dresses for Atlanta-area students.
