Many of you have heard me say my motto more than once, “never pay retail.”

This rings especially true for trends.  Trends are great and I fall in love with quite a few, but this doesn’t mean that we have to pay top-dollar for high fashion.

One of my favorite trends this fall has been the Military Tote.  Check out this great one from Lucky:

Now, while the cost is $149, I could certainly search out online coupons or simply wait until it goes on sale.

But, not unlike a lot of you (I suspect), I am impatient and want it now.  Especially before the trend goes out of style.

So, I simply looked around (never underestimate the power of the Google shopping tab) and found this steal from Target:

How is it that celebs always look so effortlessly cool?

I think I may have found an answer in Rockstar Sushi – a designer line now available to the rest of us at Nieman Marcus.

This line gained popularity among stars like Halle Berry with its signature biker-inspired pieces.  It’s cool enough to be casual, but hot at the same time – with a few pieces under $100 (for those of us on a budget)!  Check it out here.

There are some really great Halloween costumes out there!  Admittedly, when I think about discount department store costumes I revert to the classic plastic masks for kids costumes only, but those are now seemingly a thing of the past.
