Where can a find a reasonable black and white bed in a bag that doesn’t look old and cheap after you wash it? I have checked Domestications, Overstock.com, Bed Bath & Beyond, and other stores. Any suggestions?

Instead of buying cheaper clothing, it’s better to buy t-shirts and camis on clearance at Ann Taylor or other higher-end store. I was there a couple of weeks ago and bought their t-shirts for $5.88 in the final clearance area. While I would never pay full retail for t-shirts or camis, getting them for the reduced price is great, and their stuff lasts a lot longer than Old Navy.

i learned the long hard way, don’t bother buying your jersey t’s at cheap stores like Old Navy & Target. all of them somehow manage to both shrink & twist lengthwise & stretch out widthwise after just a few trips through the laundry, and end up an unflattering mess not even fit to paint or work out in. you get what you pay for, quality-wise, and you’ll end up paying it again and again.
American Apparel’s tri-blend track t-shirts hold up the best in my experience, have enough length to cover that muffin-top even after several months’ trips through the laundry, and have a much more comfortable fit.

Seriously, all of sound like a bunch of arrogant, jealous snobs, who think you are too good for everybody else.
Obviously if you are too rich or too high class for Target and Old Navy, what are you doing looking for a deal?
Just go buy your clothes at expensive stores and if it does not apply to you, stay out of it.

Not sure how she got this job, but am pretty sure it has something to do with her husband Jeff being on the Bert Show, which Jeff is obnoxious and thinks he is so funny. I guess she needed and job, so the radio let her come on once a week. She’s never really has any earth shattering deals that I’ve noticed. It’s all about who you know…

Every newspaper in our country is turning to bloggers for off beat information and deals like this. Do you people need someone with a journalism degree and journalist experience to report on good deals in the city…give me a break!

I am not a last minute shopper this year but I’d like to share lessons I learn from previous experiences: Make a list of what to buy, use credit card for online shopping, shop at odd hrs, hunt for coupons in sites like http://www.slickdeals.net, and finally compare prices in a major sites like http://www.onewayshopping.com. If you forget everything, just stick to your plan.

Meh. I still have to leave my casa to purchase most of these. I’m extremely lazy and cold weather doesn’t sit well with me. (Why was I born in the midwest?) If you’re interested in giving last minute gift cards, I recommend the website that my work was using for holiday gifting this year — http://Www.giftzip.com .. the website offers eGift cards that can be printed or sent virtually, reducing that carbon footprint in the process. It has over 300 retailers and is free to use. Anything that allows me to do my holiday shopping in my pajamas gets high marks with me. Plus, no shipping hassles

Buckhead Life adds the bonus value onto the card, but some places give you a separate card with the extra value on it. Is it tacky to keep that part for yourself? (What if, like Friday’s does, the bonus card is physically attached and you have to snap it off?)

H&M does have great deals and a decent selection of items but I do have to say that as far as quality is concerned, H&M doesnt always fit the bill. I am speaking from a menswear point of view, their button downs and blazers can occasionally be prone to tears, loose buttons, and they dont hold up to well after a couple of washes. However, certain t-shirts and accessories are great to buy from H&M. A scarf, or a slim tie or even a hat will do the trick from H&M. Just thought I would throw my opinion out there.

Jessica, I saw these at Neiman’s and decided to try one after hearing Jeff talk about them.
My thoughts…
I like the fact that they’re machine washable. I have an Armani t-shirt that makes me look fantastic, but it’s dry clean only and I don’t like spending $6 every time I want to wear it.
It was comfortable, but warm. The length was good, although it rolled up at the bottom.
The important part, of course, is how it works. I was wearing a shirt that had been a bit snug, and I needed to stand straight and hold in my stomach to make it fit properly. With this on it was easier.
I’m looking forward to hearing what Jeff thinks of his.

good luck to spanx but that going is to be a tough sell because I can’t see many guys really wanting to drop $60 on an undershirt. seems like they are trying to incorporate what under armor did for athletic wear and translate it to regular clothes. not a bad idea but i know that if any of my friends were caught wearing a spanx undershirt they would get relentless amounts of you know what.
it might play in midtown…not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Everyone wants to look a little firmer but if you are huge its not going to be a real miracle. I looked several years ago and comparable products are all over $100 so I can’t wait to get one. We can hate all we want, but the bottom line is, she’s the one with the mansion, the fame, the fortune (all the good & bad that comes along with it), and the endorsement / record deals. Props to her for pulling herself up out of the blackhole of depression she was in and getting back on track. At least she’s trying, and she’s looking damn good. She’s achieved more than I can say I have – and this is with her being scrutinized by the public eye since she was 16. Talk about pressure.

You can also check out Ross – Dress For Less. In the Atlanta area, you can check the following Ross locations for good plus size selections: Camp Creek, Piedmont Road, Howell Mill and North Dekalb.
Target and also has a nice selection of trendy plus size clothing. For online shopping, try Jessica London, Eshakti and Fashion Bug. Every now and then you can find great budget-friendly suggestions at Nordstroms.

The Avenue is great as well as Zaftique.com. Fashion Bug is also a great place to get trendy plus-sized clothes, but as a plus size myself, I don’t get bogged down with trendy. I find classic styles then keep them “trendy” with accessories or accent pieces.

Kudos to the fashion industry for finally realizing that we double digit women have money to spend too. But if you’re going to write an article on plus size clothing options at least use plus sized models. I’m only a size 12 but considered “plus sized” because I’m not in a size zero. it’s so frustrating!!

I don’t think I have bought anything at a department store, Target, etc. since I have discovered thrift and consignment stores. You can even find nearly new items at Goodwill. You have to have time to search the racks, but if you do, you can really find great items and very low prices.

I am interested in the Neverfull MM and the Speedy 35. I am going with the Damier version. I am looking long term and would be interested in everyone’s opinion. I am more traditional than not and I am a stay at home mom. I did purchase a YSL muse bag over Christmas. I got the cranberry color. It really is beautiful. Also, I am 40 years old. I want it to be age appropriate. Thanks so much for any suggestions.

If you wear any size above a size 6 please do not attempt to wear skinny jeans. Not only are you making me look even slimmer but you are cutting off the circulation in your legs. And no one you know is going to tell you the truth about how you look in them when you ask, so allow me, the jeans are not making you look fat, YOU are making you look fat. Notice the body type wearing the jeans in the article illustrations, if that it not you, then stick with flare leg pants.

I really am excited about buying some pieces from this new clothing line, as designed by Madonna and her daughter, Lourdes. I like these 2 ladies; they are so nice to not make the price points too high so that most young women can afford to dress in the trendy line and look nice. I am older than the projected consumer target base, but I am the same age as Madonna and I will wear a few pieces that look nice on me and do not make me look as if I’m trying too hard to look younger than my years. I look good and as a reward for my hard work-outs and dieting, I will rock some of Madonna and Lola’s clothing pieces!!! Thanks, Ladies – for all your hard work which leads to lots of fun for all women who are young, or young-at-heart!!!

I’m all for being tech savvy with getting help for Back To School! Never thought I would do this, but this summer I created a Back To School registry for my 8-yr old daughter on MyRegistry.com . I was able to make a wish list for her, and then shop online from all of our fave stores and add all of the items that she needed to her wish list. This actually turned out to be a really great idea and was a big help! I shared the wish list info with my parents, my husband’s parents, my daughter’s godmother and a few other close family members and friends. They all know that we are in a tough financial situation, so it was so heartwarming to see how generous everyone was with contributing to her MyRegistry.com Back To School Wish List! Great way to start off the new school year

Only problem with this website is that you have to shop way in advance. A lot of times, what you see and want, is already being rented for the time you need it. Also, if the person before you doesn’t return the garment on time, you won’t get it within your needed time. My opinion: You can actually OWN a dress that’s just beautiful and perfect for you for the same price as renting and returning (hassle) these frocks.

There is a reason these products are so cheap, the quality is not comparable to well formulated cosmetics. I wish people would understand that they get what they pay for. And giving this cheap makeup to kids or teens for Christmas only starts years of skin problems by clogging their pores with all sorts of terrible ingredients. If you can’t afford proper cosmetics, then use your own natural beauty.
