[Updated 6 p.m.: Congrats to our randomly selected winners, Denise Jones and Teri F. Thanks for playing, everyone!]
Come on, admit it, you spent more than a few Saturday mornings back in the day watching “The Jackson 5ive” cartoon series. Maybe you caught it in its original run in the early ‘70s, or maybe you’re from the Michael Jackson-as-solo-star era and watched the show when it was rebroadcast in 1984-85 to capitalize on Michael’s popularity.
Well, the entire series, including 46 remastered songs (and yes, “ABC,” “I’ll Be There” and “The Love You Save” are among them) has just been released on Blu-Ray and DVD, and thanks to our friends at Morris + King PR firm, we’ve got two of the sets to give away.
So what’s your favorite memory from the show? Or, to make it even easier, what’s your favorite Jackson 5 song?
Give me a response to either in the comments section below by 4 p.m. Friday and you’ll be eligible to be a randomly selected winner of one of the Blu-Ray sets.
So is it your “Destiny”? Will you “Triumph” with a “Victory”?
Good luck!

No doubt it has to be: I’ll Be There.
Michael and Jermaine really owned that song and yes Mariah did an “ok” job, but it will always be the Jackson 5.
It really was such a shame that Michael kind of went over the edge because he truly was an awesome talent. Just get your old copy of Thriller out of even the classic Off the Wall the dude could sing.

Who’s Loving You was no doubt thE Greatest song ever!!!!!! I will never forget the first time I heard it. It still gives me goosebumps to think that this little kid (Micheal) could sing with so much emotion like that at such an early age.

The Love You Save because of the choreography. It’s a classic, and even when the brothers performed it on the 30th anniversary show, their moves were tight!

I’ll be there…”Just Look Over Your Shoulder Honey” (That’s now a little stalkerish when you think about it, lol. I could see this as a Saturday Night Live skit). I watched a documentary once where Berry Gordy said Michael just made up that verse and it fit with the song.

The Jackson 5 are a stable in the recording industry. They have so many memorable songs, it’s hard to pick just one favorite! I’ll have to go with “Dancing Machine.” Although “Get it together”, “Life of the party”, and “Blame it on the Boogie” are close honorable mentions

Dancing Machine by far. My Mother had to buy me the record three times…’cause I kept playing it on her old stereo and kept scratching it.

So many hits, so hard to decide. I guess I would have to go with Blame it on the Boogie, Dancing Machine, and Never Can Say Goodbye. I play all there stuff for my kids and they love the songs as much as i did, truly great music!

I totally loved the show and watched it first run back in the 1970’s. I was amazed because Michael was only a year older than I was. My favorite song back then was “ABC.” As an adult, “I’ll Be There” became my favorite song. Ever since Michael died, hearing this song makes me cry.

Melissa, Destiny, Triumph and Victory are all by The Jacksons, not the original Jackson 5.
My favorite song is Dancing Machine because people would rhyme it with my name. And because it’s funky! Do wop, do wop.

I will always remember their first released single “I Want You Back”. When you heard the first riffs from the guitar, you knew what was coming, and we were on our feet dancing. They were young, we were young and it almost made us lose our minds. Good times…………….

I would have to say I’ll Be There, Michael sings this to me as though he is actually saying I’ll be there for you. You would never know how many times when I was little that a Michael Jackson song came on when I was sad. It just happened to play on the radio, and I would cry because I was happy to hear him and sad because I wanted him physically to be there. When he passed away I felt lied to because now he won’t be there for me, I call his name……and no Michael… I miss him soooooo much!
