Ten years have elapsed since David Bowie’s last album. But in the wee hours of Tuesday – his 66th birthday – the ever-elegant Bowie announced his musical return with the single, “Where Are We Now?”, a haunting, heartbreaking piece of work.
The song, out today on iTunes, is from his upcoming 30th studio album, “The Next Day,” due in March (and available as a pre-order). Produced by longtime collaborator Tony Visconti and recorded in New York, “Where Are We Now?” finds Bowie in an introspective mood and the accompanying video is equally poignant: In it, Bowie is overlooking footage of the auto repair shop beneath the apartment he lived in during his time in Berlin.

I am just happy to see that the Newly Reclusive One has been working on a new album, and it is only 2 months away. I was beginning to worry, what with all the rumour of his bad health. But there are pictures surfacing of db out and about in his Borough.
