It looks as if we haven’t heard the last from TLC.

Surviving members Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas and Tionne”T-Boz” Watkins reiterated at the MOBO Awards in Liverpool that they’re planning a new album, tour and VH1 biopic, news that they’ve mentioned in recent weeks in various media outlets.

This will be their first album since 2002’s “3D,” which was released a few months after the death of Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, who died in a car crash in Honduras.

The Atlanta-based group, beloved for their mid-‘90s chart takeover hits “Waterfalls,” “Creep,” “No Scrubs” and “Unpretty,” paid tribute to Lopes this summer by staging the all-day Left Eye Music Fest at Porter Sanford III Performing Arts Center in Decatur.

Thomas and Watkins said they will produce the VH1 movie and are close to casting actresses to portray the trio.

While confirming the new album, Watkins noted that it’s “still going to sound like TLC, evolving to whatever level we need to be at this time.”

Earlier this year, rumors cropped up that Thomas and Watkins considered touring with a holographic Lopes, similar to that crazy Tupac Shakur “appearance” at Coachella. Thomas confirmed that it is still a possibility.

“It will be hard on us but I certainly think our fans would love to see it. We would definitely be the first group to ever do it,” she said.

I’ve alerted our producers to the error. Thanks.

While you’re making updates, please correct “VHI” to read “VH1″ in first full paragraph.

I can’t imagine they’ll have much success, but more power to them I guess.

maybe a little too late :(
The music buying generation today doesn’t want to buy music from people old enough to be their parents…..

BB are u kidding me?. High schoolers and college students are not the only people buying music. I am old enough to be their parents and last year alone I spent at least 400.00 on iTunes cards–purchasing songs and albums— me, my friends— and their kids. TLC, you have such a unique blend and texture of voices and you have many people of all ages looking forward to your music.

LOL. Well, I think artists, new and old, go into each project with a low number of units sold in mind. No one will ever move 10 million cds. Those days are over. Is there much need for the RIAA now? I guess they adjust their purpose since cd’s are all but obsolete. TLC wasted a lot of good years, even before Lisa passed. I said this years ago. Perhaps it was during a time newbies could afford to go 3-4 years tween projects.

They spent years arguing, bickering, etc instead of building that brand and making the most of it. Still, best wishes to them.

Also, I love how Chilli still pretends it’s so hard to even see a picture of Left-eye. Please. You were the main one who probably didn’t get along with her, hence the tears and always choking up, 10 years later. I mean dont get me wrong, we all mourn differently. But aint nobody still crying after 10 years. NOBODY.

Yeah, I’d buy TLC again. Take us back to fun music, with lyrics and song that go with the beat. Who cares how old we are, as long as we’re breathing. Kids always want parents alive and always want them to be happy. My boys surprisingly like my music a lot and download it (I mean even older music like Temptations).

Yes, at one time they were actually pretty hot musically and well who remembers Left Eye burning down Andréa’s house. To me its not TLC, but maybe TC won’t be too bad.
