[Update at 2:10 p.m.: We have our winner! Congrats to "David," who was randomly chosen to recieve the tix to tomorrow's show. Thanks, everyone, for playing and sharing your memories. Barbie Dream House! I had one of those, too. And to have Don Henley/Tina Turner as your first concert is a rather cool thing. Glad to see I'm not the only one who still appreciates the '80s. Looks as if I'll have some stuff to give away next week, too, so make sure to check the blog for updates.
Susanna Hoffs started the week with some ’80s nostalgia (even though she’s promoting a wonderful new solo record) and there’s a wicked cool ’80s bill coming to Buckhead Theatre to cap things off.
A Flock of Seagulls, Naked Eyes and Gene Loves Jezebel will take the stage at 7 p.m. Saturday, bringing their respective rundown of hits (”I Ran [So Far Away],” “Space Age Love Song,” “Always Something There to Remind Me,” “Promises, Promises,” “Desire” and “Jealous” to name a few).
So get out the hairspray if you want to try to emulate Flock singer Mike Score’s famous hairstyle because I’ve got a pair of tickets to give away to a synth-lovin’ fan. (If you want to buy tix, go here.)
All you need to do is leave a message below with your favorite ’80s memory and I’ll randomly choose a winner at 2 p.m. Friday (the winner can pick up the tickets at will call the night of the show). So no, the stories don’t factor into whether or not you win, but I’d like to read them!
