Lady Gaga promises lots of props on tour. Photo credit: PictureGroup.com
Since Lady Gaga tweeted a photo of her itinerary for the “Born This Way Ball” a couple of weeks ago, it isn’t a huge surprise that she’s coming to Philips Arena March 11. But now it’s official.
Tickets for the show, which comes toward the end of (presumably) the first leg of the tour, are on sale at 10 a.m. Oct. 5. Gaga has described the spectacle as an “electro-metal pop-opera,” that contains songs from her three hit albums.
Fans can also sign up at www.littlemonsters.com for access to a pre-sale, which begins today. Ticket prices have not been released.
The tour, which began in April in South Korea, will hit 25 North American cities, starting Jan. 11 in Vancouver, BC, and ending March 16 in Miami. ZEDD and Lady Starlight will open the Atlanta date.

Also coming to Philips Arena in March is Pink.
The sassy singer – whose new album, “The Truth About Love,” arrives today – comes to Atlanta March 1. Tickets are on sale Oct. 13 through www.livenation.com.
Pink’s first tour in four years will launch Feb. 13 in Phoenix, Ariz.
Today at noon, Pink will hold a live web chat. Fans can register to participate at www.thetruthaboutlove.com.

Wrong site for chat today. You left off the word “tour” http://www.thetruthaboutlovetour.com

Apologies for that, but the info I was sent said, “To register and participate in the web chat, fans should visit TheTruthAboutLove.com,” so that’s what I wrote!

Melissa, I honest can’t believe how rude your reply to Mandy was!!!
Your are supposed to be a professional.
You yelled at a fan who offered assistance. “…what I wrote!”
How rude!!!
I hope the AJC disciplines you for your unprofessional conduct.

Pink Fan, how is that rude? I was merely explaining that I printed the information that was sent to me. If the source that sent it was incorrect, I don’t have any way of knowing that until someone tells me, which is why I apologized for printing something that turned out to be wrong. I’m sorry if you perceived it as “yelling,” but I was simply providing an explanation.

It only took a second to see it wasn’t the right link and find the right one. I was just trying to help since you didn’t check it before you posted it.

Mandy is right yet again…
A good journalist verifies before posting..
Also, any journalist knows that the use of an “!” infers yelling.
I still find your comments extremely rude and continue to hope that the AJC considers discipline action for your unprofessional behavior..

Pink Fan % Mandy. So true. It is the writer’s job to check accuracies, since I don’t think the AJC hires any fact checkers. The response actually was rude – blaming someone else never looks good. Show some responsibility!

Guys, relax. I use exclamation points all the time when writing. I just used one now in a post about an upcoming concert and I’m not yelling about that! It does not infer yelling (as you can see in the previous sentence) – it actually infers more casualness than a period sometimes. If I had made that same statement with a period, it would have sounded stern, which was not my intention. I appreciated Mandy letting me know, which is why I apologized for there being an incorrect link posted. Could I have checked the link? Yes, of course. But I’m writing tons of stuff every day, often working quickly and on deadline, as this was. To be honest, I would expect the link from the national promoter that was being sent to hundreds of media people to be correct, which is why I didn’t check it. Sometimes you just have to trust your usual sources and sometimes they, like me, make a mistake.
So, again, I apologize for the incorrect link and I apologize if my tone was perceived differently than intended.
Cheers,
Melissa
