Recorded just hours after her birth, the sounds of the daughter of Jay-Z and Beyoncé heard on her father’s “Glory” have made her the youngest person to appear on a Billboard chart.

Jay-Z’s tribute to his new baby, Blue Ivy Carter, “Glory” was recorded and released within 48 hours of the child’s Jan. 7 birth and debuts at No. 74 on the music industry magazine’s R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

Some of you might be thinking about Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely,” which similarly documented a child’s first hours of life, but that song took a while to make it to the pop charts, according to Billboard’s story marking this new record.

Get the full story and hear the history-making track at Billboard.com.

I echo Alan.

And Haley? Really? Try shaneharrison@ajc.com or some other combination until you get a hit. Why would you bother though with someone who is “reporting” on such a piece of crap story like this?

Why click on it if all you’re going to do is complain? The title clearly states what the article will be about.

I agree with Jeffrey d and Eyes. Why in the hell do you negative people click the articles and then take the time to post your opposition? It’s because you do care. You’re all just disappointed with your lives.

Dang, Alan, you’re really that hung up on that child’s name?! Wow. Whatever happened to your answer to my question on the other blog–did you have a problem with the name Apple (a la Gywneth Paltrow)? Again, wow.
