Even if Criminal Records winds up closing, it isn’t going down without a fight.
The “Benefit for Criminal Records and Sweet Relief,” an organization that provides financial assistance to struggling musicians, will be held Oct. 15 at The Variety Playhouse. Classic acts with Georgia ties — Magnapop, Kelly Hogan and Mike Geier – as well at others to be announced, will perform at the 8:30 p.m. show.
Tickets are $12.50 in advance, $15 day of show. All proceeds will be split between the record store and Sweet Relief.

hopefully the lineup improves. surely some bands that have benefited from the many in-stores, promos, etc. that criminal has done over the years can give some time. buy. play. love… vinyl.

Kelly Hogan is a wonderful talent. I’m so glad to know she’s coming back to Atlanta to do a show to benefit Criminal. Maybe we’ll get lucky and she will talk Neko into coming with her so that they can bump up ticket sales!

You can also donate items to support the staving musicians. Sundrys such as deoderant, soap, toothbrushes, hair clippers, shaving razors, holeless jeans and socks and books on how not to be a libtard are needed.

They will not, however, be accepting donations of books on how to be a fat, smelly, self-centered loser. Ron Burgundy has all those books (though one must wonder why – he doesn’t strike me as someone who can read).

Like the dolt he takes his moniker from, Ron Burgundy is barely literate. Sundrys? It’s sundries. Ron, when the red line appears beneath a word, it’s incorrect in some way.
