I can think of a better way to spend my hard earned money. Making these millionaires even richer does not sound very fun.

This is BS. I bought tickets for the Oct. 29th show thinking that was going to be the very first show on the tour. Now everybody is going to be talking about it before I see it. Thanks greedy promoters.

Quit complaining for what they charge if it was Bruce Springsteen or the Who or Taylor Swift, you wouldn’t have a problem. They charge what they charge and you have a choice to go or not. Save your complaints for another board. Those are the standard prices for multi platinum acts. Let alone two with the number one album in the world.

i concur. bon jovi front row tix were over $800. 2 years ago britney had $2000 couch seats next to the stage. to some people $250 bucks is like 25 cents. I hate Kanye and Jayz as people but love their music. I wish people could seperate the two (personality from work)

I planned to go, wanted to go when I first heard about it, but the fact is, I can not afford the steep ticket prices. I just can’t. And the 59.50 tickets are nose bleed, so no thank you. Now if it was Jay and Beyonce, then I might have to make a sacrifice, lol. But, I am one of those people who just can not imagine spending 250.00 per person to see anyone. I did pay alot to see Sade, but to me, she is WELL WORTH IT. Kanye, maybe. I have seen Jay Z in concert and he is great, probably the best rapper on stage, but man, the promoter is killing us working folk with this prices. Guess, I will watch the bootleg on YouTube

Who would risk their life and go to this? Guaranteed gun shots at this thing whether it is inside or out. Why those people cause so much violence, I will never understand.

Who has time to respond to blogs? What is the point? Shouldn’t we worry about our daily lives instead of post our opinions that no one cares about. FYI. No one cares that you are too poor to afford the tickets.

Genius – you make a good point. But there is a sense of joy in (almost) anonymously ripping these thugs and their minions who defend them and pass them off as “artists.”

im in my 40’s..i like jay z and kanye but not 100% of everything about them…who in your life do you 100% approve of? I dont hold rappers, entertainers, actors, and athletes to any higher standard than i hold the rest of the world to. If you do, youre a jacka$$. Their job is to be provocative, not to uplift the world.

@Diddy the atlanta shows are like their third to last shows on their tour, everyon will see it before you

@Alan Jayz and kanye west concerts are most likely THE MOST LEAST VIOLENT concerts of all hiphop

@EVERYONE ELSE THAT IS SAYING THEY HATE JAYZ AND KANYE if you are not fans of them or wish to “make these millionares richer” then dont visit or even worse, comment on the page. 250$ for front row seats to this concert sounds like an amazing deal. this tour is supposed to be extraordinary.

How much would tix cost to see Elvis? Jimmie Hendrix? Have you checked prices to a U2 or Stones concert last time they came to town? So whats the problem with these prices? Get real people.

Stop hating because of their race and music type. They are artist in every sense of the word even if you dont like them or their music!! Be nice..

Com’on Melissa Ruggieri! Why is this story open for blogs?? What type of comments are you looking for? You were fully aware of what was going to happen when you opened this can of potentially racist worms.

I saw Jay-Z when he came with Mary J. Blige a couple years ago. I also saw Kanye in New Orleans this summer and he was the best act of the festival. They are worth every cent. If you don’t have the $ keep your broke asses home.

Every blog is open for comments. If you look at the rest of the entries on the Atlanta Music Scene blog – whether it’s about Stevie Nicks or the Go-Go’s or Music Midtown – you’ll see them all open to comments.
That should answer your question about why this one is open. Because it’s a music blog and there are some people who are actually interested in commenting about music.

Well, all of you people complaining about the ticket price — even with the prices as high as they are, they sold enough to have another date. If the tickets were priced too low, everybody would be in line to go, and you still wouldn’t be able to see them if you wanted to!

Jay Z and Kanye can kiss my a$$. Hell…. i can see that concert on youtube for free and won’t have to worry about those wannabe fake a$$ thugs and phony a$$ females. They will pay $250.00 for tickets. I bet a week after the show they will be trying to borrow money to keep their power and gas from being shut off. That’s real!!

Alot of you have never been to a Jay or Ye concert but you on here saying dumb crap about crime and thugs its a Kanye and Jay-Z concert, take off the hoods and come out your moms basement.

@Nick from Gwinnett Man you said something then! That’s exactly what happens… no black people ever say stupid things about these white artists, but the white people on ajc always have something to say. Shootouts at a Jayz and Kanye concert???? stupid statement

@Haters That’s the same thing I was thinking? what in this world can you do that doesn’t make a rich person richer? NOTHING!!!! shows you how dumb these country hillbillies are down here in the south! Not the south, just the country rednecks that only say this stuff behind a cpu. I’ve heard anything of this stuff (NOT ONE TIME) in person!

I bought my tickets for the 10/29 show. I am not mad they added a 10/28 show. Stay away from the music blogs, etc., and you will be pleasantly surprised. It’s not that hard. It’s not a big deal. I’m happy for the people who didn’t get tickets for the 10/29 show and wanted them, now they have an opportunity to go. Named Brand, I will see you there. I can’t wait!

What The Truth said really is The Truth. I agree about who white people are leaving negative comments about black artist ticket prices. My friend brought tickets to see Garth Brooks in the 90’s for $100.00 each and she was in the nose bleed section. I don’t remember hearing the outrage of the ticket prices then. BTW my friend and myself are black.

I really wanted to comment on the folks remembering Elvis, but wasn’t allowed to. For some reason this is the only allowable comment section on any of the entertainment page…

And what is there really to comment about adding a second show??? NOW ELVIS that’s worth commenting on… right?

I bought the $250. It’s my money so I can do with it as I please but I was really stoked that we were the opening show. Now they added a show the day before so now I am stuck with the second date. They had better do something for the second date because we are the ones that helped get the first date.

I’m not a rap fan per se, but if I was going to pay to go see a rap concert, this would probably be one I would go see. From what I can tell by both their concert reviews and seeing them on the tube, they are decent performers (as rap performance goes. Granted, the competition is not really stiff.)

But I will take this moment to encourage people to go see “real” music performed live. Atl has so many opportunities to do so. I am early 30’s, but the two best concerts I’ve seen this year were R&B: Jeffrey Osborne and Kem. THEY are worth paying $250 for! I kid you not. There’s just no replacement for their kind of performing.

But back on topic, all you rap people have fun!
