Want a guitar signed by the Tedeschi Trucks Band?

Tedeschi Trucks Band

Husband-and-wife team Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi recently put aside their own projects and joined together for the Tedeschi Trucks Band, and they’ll be bringing the band to Chastain Park Amphitheatre this weekend. The sprawling 11-piece band includes many musicians who have worked with the pair through the years, including Allman Brothers bassist Oteil Burbridge. The group’s debut album, “Revelator,” was released in June to glowing reviews. Rolling Stone calls it a “meaty masterpiece.”

To celebrate the band’s return trip to town, following an April appearance at Center Stage as part of the Jim Beam Live Music Series, we’re giving away a Jim Beam Silvertone Electric Guitar signed by The Tedeschi Trucks Band. For a chance to win, like our AJC Atlanta Music Scene Facebook page and comment on the post there, telling us about your love of the Tedeschi Trucks Band or why you should get the guitar. Don’t leave your comments here, but on the Facebook page. We’ll randomly select the lucky new guitar owner from those comments after 4 p.m. Friday, July 29.

Here are a few details about the guitar:

Jim Beam Silvertone Electric Guitar

  • Single cutaway sculpted body
  • Sculpted bolt-on neck (Maple)
  • Rosewood fingerboard
  • 22 Fret 24 3/4″ scale
  • Chrome precision die-cast tuning machines

  • Full color graphics on guitar top
  • Signed by the Tedeschi Trucks Band

Check out the Jim Beam Live Music Series website for more on the series’ other shows across the country and to get exclusive content from the Tedeschi Trucks Band’s performance and photos from the band’s appearance as part of the series at Center Stage in April.

For those 21 or older, special boxes of Jim Beam and Red Stag will be marked with instructions on how to download up to 5 tracks from any of the Live Music Series performances, such as O.A.R. and the Tedeschi Trucks Band performances.

Derek Trucks is probably the best guitarist to make the rounds today. An absolute stud and phenom.

These guys are so talented….. I have never seen a more humble genuis take the stage than Mr. Trucks. Susan’s voice is a dream. I think this is true family.

I taped DT (DAT) at Fuzzy’s jamming with some real good players in March of 94. Totally burned the place down. Show ended with 8 seconds left on the DAT tape. (Thank you Lawd). Just unbelievable, 17 years ago.

I’ll bet he’d like to have it-I think I’ll burn him a CD.

Awesome player have been watching him over the past 10 years or so. IMHO the best player of his generation and no doubt the best slide master. Saw them at center stage and chastain this weekend this band maybe the best band out there right now. Just awesome lineup with Derek, Susan, JJ Johnsom on drums (John Mayer, Bob Dylan drummer), Brass section, former DTB lead singer Mike Matteson on back up and the rest as well really are all quality and it comes together for a great show. If you havent seen them and enjoy blues southern rock you really owe to yourself to see them.

BTW who won the guitar?
