This year’s Dove Awards proved such a success that the show will return to Atlanta in 2012.
The 2011 Christian music awards ceremony, filmed at The Fox Theatre in April, marked the first time in the show’s 41-year history that it was held outside of Tennessee.
The broadcast of this year’s ceremony on GMC – formerly the Gospel Music Channel – was its highest-rated ever, with more than 1.5 million viewers.
The 43rd Annual Dove Awards will take place in April 2012, but a venue has not yet been determined.

What’s wrong with having it at the Fox again? Seems like it was a good fit.

I agree with A.D. that Cobb Energy Centre would be a better fit than going downtown. Downtown Atlanta has it’s share of metal plates on the street surfaces that either shreads or cuts your tires up and/or throws your cars’ front end out of alignment, lack of secured parking without being booted or looted, chaotic and loud Peachtree Street traffic ie, ..Fire trucks, police sirens, rap music blasting from cars, men dressed in drag perusing the area streets around the Fox looking for Johns to patronize them, pan handlers……etc.

sorry, but the Cobb Energy Center does not hold enough people…
