Casting Crowns, the seven-piece group of youth ministers from Stockbridge, scored a Dove for long form music video for ”Until the Whole World Hears…Live.”
Backstage, the affable group, fronted by Mark Hall, said the band appreciated only having to travel about an hour to attend since the show has always been held in Tennessee.
“It’s always exciting to get nominated,” Hall said. ”I’m of the thought that everyone needs a Dove Awards, especially in youth ministry…If someone is walking with Jesus because of something we did…the Doves are not just about the statue, but a way bigger picture.”
Hall said the group is currently in the studio and tracking the final songs for “Come to the Well,” which he said were “birthed out of our ministry.”
