Collective Soul’s Ed Roland is spreading holiday cheer around a bunch of organizations.

Roland and unnamed special guests will perform two benefit shows at Eddie’s Attic, Dec. 17-18.

Proceeds from the first gig will go to 12 Bands/12 Kids, which raises funds to fight pediatric cancer, and to The Humane Society.

The show on Saturday, Dec. 18, will benefit The First Tee of Atlanta and Share the Warmth Atlanta. The mission of First Tee is to promote character development and “life-enhancing” values through golf, while Share the Warmth provides cozy items such as blankets and socks to those in need.

Roland, a Stockbridge, Ga., native, said in a statement that he wanted to showcase local talent and support charities that are meaningful to him.

“I have always felt it important to give back to the community and to the charities that need help during these very austere times,” he said.

Tickets for the show are $15 and $30 (or $400 for a reserved table for four) and on sale now at www.eddiesattic.com or by calling 404-377-4976.
