Taylor Swift world tour includes two Atlanta shows

First it was a million-selling-plus debut week for her “Speak Now” album.

Now, Taylor Swift has announced dates for the most ambitious tour of her career.

The “Speak Now World Tour,” kicking off Feb. 9 in Singapore, will hit 19 countries through October.

Her U.S. dates, which begin in Omaha, Neb., in late May, include two shows at Philips Arena on July 9-10 and six at stadiums including Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field and Dallas’ Cowboys Stadium.

Tickets for the Atlanta performances go on sale at 10 a.m. Dec. 3 at the Philips Arena box office, all Ticketmaster outlets, www.ticketmaster.com or by calling 800-745-3000. Tickets are $36-$85.25.

I definitely won’t be seeing this crap. She’s a horrible singer and writes stupid fairytale songs.

Ashley, maybe she should just cancel the Atlanta dates, since you dont want to go. Oh wait 17,000 other people will fill up the stands.

Ashley #1, If you don’t like her, then don’t listen to her and quit being such a Negative Nancy.

I myself love her and can’t wait for Chelsea Lately!

Happy Thanksgiving all!

Kids would love to see her BUT purchasing tickets in December for a July show???? Right… not to mention that I will NEVER buy a ticket from ticketmaster – never – ever – ever!!! Charging you a fee to print your own ticket on your own printer using you own ink??? Thay can rot in he** before I give them my money.

Probably will be over $50 a ticket plus a $10 surcharge plus a $4.50 vendor fee just for the back row. I was there just a couple of weeks ago and their food prices are out of this world – $4 for a medium coke and $9 hot a hot dog. Remember to eat at CNN before going into the rip-off arena.

She’s a babe, but can not sing live. CAn you say “Auto-Tune”?? Never heard of it? Look it up – that’s how all these so-called talented kids are making millions killing our ear drums.

Ashley #1 you are right. Taylor Swift is horrible. All her songs sound like a 4 yr old wrote them. When is the world going to realize that she can’t sing and can’t write songs. Grow up and learn to write music that actually means something.

I think Taylor might fall into that category of singer/songwriters where their songs might be better off sung by someone else. Sheryl Crow, Bob Dylan, Lucinda Williams, etc — they all write a great song, but their vocals sometimes leave a lot to be desired. I have seen her perform numerous times on awards shows, and she really cannot sing on-key live. That said, it will be interesting to see how well she can command a crowd at a huge NFL stadium.

My two girls love her, however we won’t be taking them to any concert at Philips with today’s ticket prices. Better Taylor Swift than Lady gaga…

Her ticket prices start at $25. I saw her live twice on her Fearless tour and she was great, a very high energy show. Saying you watched her on TV live on awards shows, isn’t live you know, it’s crappy tv speakers with one size fits all sound board being used at the show. She doesn’t use Auto-tune, never has and she also doesn’t lip sink like most of the pop stars do at award shows, except country award shows where none of the artists lip sink. She’s a good kid just trying to follow her dream, give her a break and try and follow in her shoes before trying to bring her down.

Yeah right

Anyone who thinks this girl can sing has to be tone deaf. She cannot carry a tune. She is flat on her high notes and can’t sustain any note for a small period of time without her voice giving out- meaning she has never been taught how to breathe properly while singing. It is a technique most gifted people don’t have to learn, however, some need to learn-mostly Taylor. She is popular with the young girls and thats fine but don’t give me this “she’s a great singer, performer, writer crap. She is modeled to be a money maker for the record company because she’s easy on the eyes (to some, not me). And she’s darn good at it. I don’t blame her for takin what she can get but do not paint her as this great artist. Good god, all this Taylor, Beiber, whoever name you want to insert- if this is our “classic music” 20yrs from now I hope I am deaf. Pathetic

Steve- it’s lip sync not sink as in kitchen sink.

I caught 30 seconds of the AMAwards — enough to know that Swift should stop performing in public until she can learn to sing on pitch.

[...] Access Atlanta confirmed this and added one more venue for July 9 and 10 in Atlanta, Georgia: Phillips Arena. [...]

Sorry to break it to you Steve, but Taylor Swift does use auto-tune. A friend of mine was back stage at one of her concerts (my friend is a personal friend of Allen Jackson) and what he heard backstage was wayyyy off key. What was being sent in the airwaves was on-key. My friend was insulted that she was duping her audience. The problem is that the American public is very gullible and only interested in a performer’s looks rather than actual talent.

First off “Taylor Swift is a Fraud” it’s ALAN Jackson… I see you’re not a country music fan. For all the other folks that want to complain about ticket prices… We don’t want to hear it! Go buy the CD and stop complaining. I will take my daughter and she will love it. It’s a small price to pay to make a memory. Merry Christmas!!!
