Sugarland show to stream live Monday night

In preparation of Tuesday’s release of “The Incredible Machine,” Sugarland will stream a live concert at 9 p.m. MondaySugarland1 as part of the American Express “Unstaged” series.

The show takes place at New York’s Best Buy Theater (formerly known as the Nokia Theater) and is being directed by famed choreographer Kenny Ortega. Fans can check it out on the band’s VEVO channel.

Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles told the AJC this week that she and bandmate Kristian Bush haven’t yet met with Ortega and wants the show to be about “spontaneity and creativity of the moment.”

Nettles said that duo will perform all of the songs from the new album, as well as some longtime favorites.

For more on Sugarland, see the Monday Living section in the AJC.

@dan: You’re right. You just don’t get it. Kristian has has been a great songwriter since his college days at Emory. Sugarland may have started out as a lark, but the first show they ever payed at Eddie’s Attic is was clear that there was something magic going on. It’s a shame that the original band didn’t stay together, and I truly morn the split this Kristen Hall, but Jennifer and Kristian are still pumping out some of the most infectious (and well written) pop music out there.

Kudos to Kristian and Jennifer. Their success is well earned!

Wow Dan, take you meds. Her voice is amazing. Not like the pop junk you normally hear today – and I’m not really a country fan either. And the song, she wrote, Stay – has the best lyrics – and vocals, ever.

Watch it Dan….these Liberal Pop freaks are a long way from Country. It use to be Jimmy Carter and CNN were the only S**t stains on my great State but we can add these two Obama supporters to the mix as well. Would love to be able to Vote them out of country music on November 2nd too. Just make a clean sweep.

No meds needed, but thanks…
I would not bring politics into this as one of the greatest performers of our lifetime espouses the Obasms we hear all day in the liberal press-Bruce Springsteen-but I would still buy/listen to his music…that said, it does not help that they, like alot of entertainers who grew up w/ not much and made it on their own take the side of big government…never quite got that.
Ya’ know, maybe I will revisit those meds

Most of the creative-musical types are tree-huggers. Before my injury (which took my ability to play and sing), I could NEVER discuss anything even remotely political with others I played with.
