I don't think that the economy was the problem (Phish sold 40K tickets in 15 minutes at $50 each), I think that society has moved on past Lilith. Plus, the lineup (for the Atlanta stop, at least) was pretty weak : Sarah McLachlan : win. Indigo Girls : nice local draw, but they play here fairly often. Court Yard Hounds : WHO? Sia : WHO? Loretta Lynn : ....seriously? Seriously....? Janelle Monae : Hot up and coming artist, she'd probably sell a few tickets. The Rescues : WHO? Priscilla Renea : She is NOT part of Lilith Fair's target market. Gossip : WHO? Corinne Bailey Rae : Decent fanbase, but she wouldn't move a ton of tickets. This lineup lacks star power in a HUGE way. The Lilith Fair shows of the 90s had one headliner after another on the stage. This was a great event in years past, but Lilith Fair dropped the ball in 2010.
