This is pretty anemic even by Chastain’s standards. The only guys worth seeing are Ian Hunter and Jeff Beck, and Chastain is hardly the best venue for either one of them. Man, do I miss Music Midtown!

Why would they present an artist of Sting’s popularity at a small venue like Chastain? Seems like the new Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park would be a MUCH better setting for Sting than Chastain.

I’ve been told Pat B looks great for her age, but how old is the picture that was posted?

That’s an ancient shot of Pat Benatar I posted, just for kicks. I’ve seen more recent photos of her. She does look good.

Once again… I have been to both Wilco and the Flaming Lips/Explosions in the Sky at Chastain this past year (both outstanding). I will also be attending My Morning Jacket on April 23rd.
Not sure why my previous post was removed, but my point is that there are far better acts that come through Chastain that simply aren’t mentioned on AJC or in these “series” listings and I don’t know why. Hmmm…
Anyways, pick up creative loafing or subscribe to an email list to Ticketmaster/Live Nation and you’ll see that Atlanta still attracts a hotbed of (still relevant) talent.
