On Monday night, the Latin music group Aventura took home the American Music Awards trophy for best Latin Music Artist. The quartet has been burning up the charts with its latest album, “The Last,” holding the No. 1 spot for Latin album for 15 weeks.
On Wednesday night, metro Atlanta will get to see what the fuss is all about when the quartet performs at Gwinnett Arena.
Formed in 1994, the boy band from New York’s Bronx fuses the Domincan Republic’s Bachata with R&B and reggae. It even throws in a little hip-hop. “Spanish Fly,” a favorite from its latest album features Atlanta’s own Ludacris.
Any chance Luda will join the band on stage for the hot, sexy tune?
Aventura performs Wednesday at 8 p.m. at The Arena at Gwinnett Center, 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway, Duluth. Doors at 7 p.m. Tickets $58 to $108 at Ticketmaster.
