Blake Lewis Entertains at Atlanta Pride Sunday

The Atlanta Pride Committee presented beatboxing “American Idol” alum Blake Lewis as the headliner Sunday for this year’s Oct. 31-Nov. 1 festival. Lewis, who was voted runner-up to Jordin Sparks in Season 6, took Pride’s Coca Cola stage by storm on a beautiful afternoon in Piedmont Park.

“We think Blake’s diverse fan base will draw some new people to the park on Sunday,” said J. Sheffield, Atlanta Pride event manager. “In addition to Blake, our Entertainment Committee, in close collaboration with Q&A Entertainment, reviewed hundreds of applicants to select a lineup that we’re really proud of.”

Blake Colin Lewis was born on July 21, 1981 in Redmond, Washington. The singer-songwriter and beatboxer was the runner-up on the sixth season of American Idol. His major label debut album A.D.D. (Audio Day Dream was released on December 4, 2007 through 19 Recordings/Arista Records. On October 30, 2007, his first single “Break Anotha” was released. The song landed on #10 on the U.S. Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 as its highest peak position. After the release of his second and final single “How Many Words”, Lewis was dropped by Arista Records. Lewis eventually signed with Tommy Boy Entertainment. Blake’s second album, Heartbreak on Vinyl, was released on October 6, 2009. The first single “Sad Song” was released on July 21, 2009.

Other entertainers scheduled to perform free shows in Piedmont Park Oct. 31-Nov. 1 included Goddess & She, Eric Himan & the Adams, Sonia Leigh, Doubting Thomas, Josh Zuckerman and Heidi Hensley. Of course, we’ll also host our annual Poetry and YouthPride Entertainment Blocks, as well as the annual Starlight Cabaret.

I LOVE BLAKE LEWIS, ALL OF MY FRIENDS DO. He’s more supportive of the LGBT community than even Adam Lambert so I hope everyone shows him respect. and go get his new album, it’s dance music at its best, I can’t think of a better dance album by a man, ever. Great songs and great beats…..

LOL…and yet another lackluster, mediocre, pseudo musician who probably has more trouble handling a kazoo than he does his boyfriend. Oh yes all the boys swoon upon Blake doing his silly impression of Michael Jackon doing “The Robot”. How stupid is this kid.

Enjoy Mr Lewis while is possible as his future awaits in the landfill, that is full of silly wanna-be’s, nimrods and androgynous fellows who will do anything for a buck.

Oh how wonderful, absolutely marvelous…oh yes he is SOOOO supportive. Why not just sign over your annual salary to little blake? If nothing else he could use the money for voice lessons.

Mr Lewis just doesnt do it for me. He is just a lost little boy with an ok voice and in desparate need of a decent hair stylist and someone to dress him. Im guessing his mommy didnt breast feed him as he is such a needy little nerdy unattractive fellow.

And whats with the chicken sitting atop his head?

Blake sounded like he had a mouthful of my boogers in his mouth just chomping down on em as they slid hither and yawn in his nasty mouth. He was seen later with a box of toothpicks picking my boogers out from between his teeth.

Blake would do well to change his name to “The Booger-ManEater”.

Hey BLAKE!!! *POOT* inya face.
