Ever since Smooth Jazz 107.5 exited the Atlanta market late last year, contemporary jazz fans have had to get their music fix in other places.

This weekend, look no further than Sambuca in Buckhead where contemporary jazz pianist will perform two shows on Sunday night.

Earlier this summer, Johnson released his 11th solo album “Poetically Justified.” The CD, which features guest appearances by soul singer Miles Jaye and saxophonist Najee, debuted in the top 10 on Billboard jazz charts.

Expect to hear many of the 14 new songs that include tender ballads, funky grooves and light party jams.

Johnson performs sets at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Admission is $15 general admission, $20 reserved. Sambuca is at 3102 Piedmont Road NE, Atlanta.
