Taylor Swift & Kellie Pickler Pack Gwinnett Arena

SEE THE FULL PHOTO GALLERY: Taylor Swift performs at Gwinnett Arena

Nineteen year old Taylor Alison Swift, born in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania on December 13, 1989, has quickly become a superstar country-pop, singer-songwriter, guitarist and actress. She sold out the Arena at Gwinnett Center Thursday night, September 3, 2009, on her Fearless tour 2009. Kellie Pickler and Gloriana opened the show.

In 2006, Taylor Swift released her debut single “Tim McGraw”, which peaked at number six on the Billboard country charts. Later in October 2006, at age sixteen, she released her self-titled debut album, which produced five hit singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts and was certified triple Platinum. The New York Times described her as “one of pop’s finest songwriters, country’s foremost pragmatist and more in touch with her inner life than most adults”.

According to Nielsen SoundScan, Taylor was the biggest selling artist of 2008 in America with combined sales of more than four million albums. Her Fearless and her self-titled album finished 2008 at number three and number six respectively, with sales of 2.1 and 1.5 million. She was the first artist in the history of Nielsen SoundScan to have two different albums in the Top 10 on the year end album chart. According to the 2009 issue of Forbes, Swift is ranked as the 69th most powerful celebrity with over $18 million in earnings this year.  She was named number fifty-seven on Maxim’s sexiest women of 2008, and CosmoGirl voted Swift as the “2008 Girl of the Year”.

Hey HRPufnstuf – The girl is 19 and earned over $18 million this year; unless you did better, she is at least smarter than you.

Taylor put on an AMAZING show! She was quite a “showman” and performed for over two hours, totally engaging the audience the entire time. She played electric and acoustic guitar, drums and piano. She”s a great role model for others and seems totally in touch with who she is – which is more than I can say about HRPufnstuf, who has to use negativity to make himself feel superior to others. Hope you can find happiness in your life in a positive way, Puffy.

Awesome show! Many wardrobe changes, lots of different sets, and very appropriate for young girls that look up to her. She came out in the audience in the very back right near us and made my 12yo daughter’s first concert absolutely amazing!!!

Taylor acutally cam into the audience and sang. She took time during the concert to hug fans and take pictures. She doesn’t let her souvenir prices get to high. She seems to have a good head on her shoulers…and remembers the people who helped her get where she is. GREAT SHOW!

I do not like country music, but if she can make $18,000,000 a year, more power to her!

Amazing concert! She seemed genuinely happy to be on stage and thankful for the thousands of screaming fans that showed up. She sounded great and the show was fun to watch. Ended kind of late for my 5 1/2 year old – she was worn out half way through the show.

HrPuf – loser troll. How many hit songs have you written? Albums sold? Concert tours headlined? You accuse her of being dumb why? Because she is blond? You have serious issues, you should go away – nobody would miss you!

Taylor put on an swesome show. Her staff ame up to my 12 yo daughter and asked her if she wanted to meet her after the show, at her T-Party. There were 25 ppl choosen out of 13,000. Taylor & her staff were so sweet and easy going, emulating Taylor’s personna. Taylor spent 5 minutes taking pic, signing anything and everything we wanted her to and talking with us individually. Obviously a once in a lifetime epx. Taylor Swift Rocks!

I took my 9 year old to her first concert last night and I have to say it’s one of the best shows I have EVER been to. Taylor has a keen talent in terms of connecting with the audience…about the best i’ve ever seen (I’ve been to a ton of shows in my lifetime). She is an awesome talent and I am happy that my daughter looks up to her. I just hope that she can keep this up. I have seen way too many performers like Taylor crash and burn. AWESOME PERFORMANCE Taylor!

The show was amazing. This is the second time I’ve seen Taylor and will continue to go to her shows. She is a great role model for girls. Keep up the good work Taylor. ATL LOVES you.

Mike……….the 13 on her wrist is there because 13 is her favorite number, and she puts this on her wrist for every show.

This is why 13 is her favorite number : “I was born on the 13th. I turned 13 on Friday the 13th. My first album went gold in 13 weeks. My first #1 song had a 13-second intro,” she adds. Every time I’ve won an award I’ve been seated in either the 13th seat, the 13th row, the 13th section or row M, which is the 13th letter.” I copied this from an interview she has done :) My husband, myself, SIL, Sister, daughter and niece all went to see her in NC. She was Awesome. I think it is great to see someone with so much talent have such could morals and be as genuine as she is..Team Taylor!

Screw you. Taylor swift is sooo totally awesome! She is one of the few artists who actually WRITE their own music. You have to lend some credence to her intelligence if she is able to compose her own music.

Rock on Taylor.

I am not a young child, nor do I have any, but my wife, my brother-in-law, and myself went to that show and it was fantastic. What made it even better was the fact that she came into the audience and sang right beside us. She is one artist that is truly grateful for her fans.
