Dierks Bentley to play free Tabernacle show

In one of his many No. 1 country hits, Dierks Bentley sang about being free and easy. Now he’s making good on the free part. It’s pretty easy, too.

Phoenix native Bentley will play at the Tabernacle in downtown Atlanta on Aug. 18. The show is part of Third Annual Samsung AT&T Summer Krush series of shows taking place in nine cities around the country through mid-September.

Just go to the Samsung AT&T Summer Krush site and register to get your tickets. They’ll also be giving away tickets on radio station Kicks 101.5 in the days leading up to the show.

One of the most consistent country hitmakers to emerge this decade, Bentley released a greatest hits package, “Every Mile a Memory 2003-2008, ” after only three major label studio albums. That best-of set includes five No. 1 hits, but he’s recently added Nos. 6 and 7 to his résumé with the title track from the Feb. 3 release “Feel That Fire” and, most recently, “Sideways.”

And since the show is sponsored by Samsung and AT&T, there will be demonstrations of the new Samsung JACK mobile phone. They’ll also be giving away prizes, with one attendee going home with one of the new phones.

The doors open at 8 p.m. Aug. 18 for the free Tabernacle show, and the performance is set for 10 p.m.

Anyone else as sketched out as I am? I registered and printed my ticket, but there isn’t a barcode or anything on it. If anyone has any more info, I’d greatly appreciate it!

Yeah…is this basically a first come, first served as long as you have a ticket. I.e., no one is guaranteed admission? Or is it really that easy?

Hi there,
Danielle from Samsung here. The printed out ticket is legit – no barcode needed. Just the printed ticket and ID will get you in the door. But, do plan to get there in time – as it will be first come first serve at the door. Those with priority access tickets are guaranteed admission if you are in line within 30 minutes of the doors opening.

There’s nothing sketchy about it. I went to the one last year at the Tabernacle featuring Nelly and the main thing is to get there early because the lines can get long. You just print out your pass and it has your name on it and it’s good for you and a guest. If you’re the one that registered make sure you have you ID because they have everyone’s name on a list to get it. It’s pretty neat and it’s an actual concert not one of those 8 song set things.

Amanda- How early do you suggest arriving? I somehow got one of those priority access tickets, does that mean I should still get there plenty early?

THWG – They start letting people in the door about 8:30pm so I would get there about 7:30pm

Danielle –

How do you go about getting a “priority access” ticket?
