Jill Scott and Lil John Have A Son

R&B singer Jill Scott’s publicist has confirmed to us that yes, she and Atlanta percussionist Lil John Roberts are now the proud parents of a son.

(And Lil John just about says as much on his MySpace page; by Children his profile says “Proud parent”)

No official word on a name, weight and height, or even whether Scott had it in a hospital in her future husband’s current hometown. (But sites have been reporting his name is Jett Hamilton Roberts, 7 lbs., 8 oz., born April 20 at 4:20, even).

Happen to have any other details? Been watching Scott in HBO’s “The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency,” and if so, your thoughts?

I didn’t think that a birth certificate meant squat legally. He’s still the puntitive father untill he goes to court and legally says “that’s mine before God and the State.”

Congratulations to Jill and Lil John!! I am very happy for them. I love her new show I hope it gets picked up for more shows as well. She has that African language down to a science. She has become an even greater actress. Jill you did that…..

Wow – there is soooooo much hatred in the world! Seal is married to the “wonderful” white Heidi – she married the black man while pregnant with another one of her white kids from another man – no one talka about how SCANT that is!!! PEOPLE come on!!!! GET a grip and focus on things that are positive. The same people that are speaking of the black race are the same people that are dating black men or…. your girls are dating black boys…. hmmmmm! Come out the closet and live life to the fullest!!!!! Focus on self and not others – stop juding other people and races and you will be a better person!!!!!! Or just MOVE to another planet!!!

By the way – Jill – congrats to a new baby and we LOVE the HBO show!!!!

Congratulations to Jill Scott, Lil Jon, and their new born son. May they continue to be blessed always.

There really are ignorant people on this site. I was always taught if you had nothing nice to say, then don’t say anything at all. Some of these people on here should take heed.

Congratulations Jill for your baby, I LOVE the # 1 DLA!! I can’t wait to view the next episode. It reminds me of my childwood backhome, it feels like a fresh breeze. Keep on the good work Jill to show a real side of Africa that people unfortunately don’t get to see on tv.

People are such hatters. Congratulations Jill and Lil John and where is it factual that a child conceived in wedlock is better than one conceived out of wedlock. Most of them conceived in wedlock are more screwed up than those that weren’t.
