Beyonce Coming To Atlanta July 1

Though the general ticket-buying public won’t be able to secure their chance to see Beyonce until this weekend, the R&B superstar – set to play Atlanta’s Philips Arena July 1 – has started selling “platinum” and “B’Stage” seats.

For $1000 at www.ticketmaster.com/beyonce you can get the premium  “I Am…Beyonce” Meet & Greet VIP package, which includes a front row ticket; a meeting and picture with the 10-time Grammy winner; and a limited edition Dereon bag that will include an autographed tour book.

There is also a $575 “I Am…Fierce” on-stage VIP package, where you get to sit in “the Diva Zone”; as well as the $475 “I Am…Bold” VIP package, that includes (like the others) a laminate and/or wristband and a one-year membership in the official Beyonce fan club.

In case you haven’t figured it out yet, the 19-city US tour is called ‘I Am…” — as her latest multimillion-selling disc is “I Am…Sasha Fierce” — and again, general $20.75 to $109.75 tickets go on sale Friday.

Have you already bought your VIP ticket (which went on sale yesterday)? Planning to go? Did you see “The Beyonce Experience”  in 2007, and if so, what was your take?

Of course I AM planning on attending the concert, I went to the Beyonce Experience in 2007 and it was by far one of the BEST concerts I had the pleasure to attending. My only problem with this I AM tour is seating I really wanted to get a closer seat near the stage, but those prices for VIP seating are crazy. So I’ll pray and pay 109.75 for a good seat!

Lol, how much? To see Beyonce? I’m sorry she must think she is a good musician with decades of experience and longevity…. U2 isn’t even charging that much…. get overself, “diva” because you aren’t worth that much. Stop sampling music and do something original, then maybe you can call yourself an artist worthy of ticket prices that steep.

I will be there, singing all the songs from all the albums. The experience concert was the best concert ever!!! I love her but I don’t love her enough to pay $1,000 to meet her.

Hey Matt, Sorry to bust your bubble but Beyonce does have longevity. Shes been in the game since she was 15 which is over a decade. Beyonce doesnt name the price of the backstage passes that would be the Atlanta Promotors for this concert that charge that amount. To even go a step further Bey isnt worried about those ticket prices, she took her income from the Etta James movie and donated every penny. The Diva made over 82 million dollars just last year alone. Angelina & Brad didnt even make that combined.. Enough said….

The artist doesn’t set the concert ticket prices. That is determined by the concert promoter. Many established artists, such as U2, will only work with promoters that are willing to keep ticket prices reasonable because they want their fans to be able to see them perform live especially in times like these when the economy is down. There are many other major artists that have the clout to demand that a percentage of tickets for venues be kept at a reasonable cost for their fans or will request that a special section (not the nose bleed section) of the concert venue have $20 tickets….obviously Beyonce is not one of those artists. There are $20.75 tickets in Atlanta but you’ll be so far away from the stage that you might as well wait on someone to post the concert on youtube unless you like paying to watch a concert from a big screen monitor.

I saw her with saw Beyonce and her back up singers the supremes( michelle and Kelly) Beyonce was the entire show. I could not take my eyes off of her during say my name. Michelle and Kelly make pretty back up flowers..Then I saw Beyonce experience with out her back up supremes. Beyonce was destiny’s child. The woman can put on a show..and dance her ass off. and sing. I will definately be there. I dont care if i am in the back..thats why they have huge monitors at Phillips. Also sometimes folks dont show up..and during intermission.i move closer and closer. but I wont wait until all the cheap tickets are solded. I aint paying 1000 to see no one unless its Jesus Christ and he can make me 25yrs younger. otherwise. I will pay 20.75 and enjoy the audience and big screens..sorry bey..but I still got bills to pay..and you and Jay z dont need any more money.

What is an “once” of talent?

And Tori, artists can certainly have a say on what is charged for their shows.. They make more money off of tours, than they do on album sales etc. Pearl Jam fought groups like Ticketmaster etc. to ensure their fans wouldn’t have to pay as much and companies wouldn’t be able to rip them off on the pricing of a show.. Hate to tell you, but the artists do have a say…. I just think that is a little bit much to charge for a concert… and by a little I mean a lot and it’s also a little incensitive of the current economic times..

Also a decade is nice, but I could see an artist who has three plus decades of success charging that much, not an artist with one.. I’m not trying to take away from what she has accomplished, I just don’t think she is worthy of paying that much to see her.

I saw The Beyonce Experience in 2007 and it was one of the best concerts I have attended. That was the most I ever paid for a concert ticket but felt it was worth every penny. Still deciding about this time.

I saw “The Beyonce’ Experience” Tour at the RBC Stadium in North Carolina as her phillips arena tickets were sold out! It was worth every mile, the speeding ticket that we got on our way to the concert and ofcourse all the money spent for a roadtrip (gas, food, hotel, etc). She is a great entertainer and vocalist! My friends and I had a wonderful..wonderful.. time! Can’t wait to see this tour!

Uhh Matt, Beyonce is only 27. She will be around for many decades… Now go to your head bangin , nose bleeding, jumping all over everybody and throwing beer in peoples hair lame concert. Not all the tickets are 500.00 etc dollars. Those tickets have extra perks.. You may not fill she is worth that much to meet and etc but some people do… Have a nice day..

Oh, Im sure Barbara Streisand has some open seats if you want to see someone who has been around for decadessssssss.. lmao.. Had to do it…

I’m glad you crack yourself up Torim Streisand was exactly who I was talking about being worth that much money to see… I appreciate all music not just concerts that allow me to “throw beer in peoples hair lame concert.” Very profound statement on your part, you’ve argued your case so well I will just have to recant all my previous statements…. I understand what Beyonce’s age is, and could see her lasting many more decades in the industry.. However, when you have only been around for one, regardless of age, I don’t think you have the right to charge that much. Is meeting her really worth a $1000? If she truly cared for her fans she would meet the real die-hards, probably most of whom can’t afford to pay that by doing a contest or something similar through her website, etc…. The ONLY reason select tickets are that much are greed. On Beyonce’s part, on Matthew Knowles’ part, her label, etc. Don’t fool yourself by thinking anything other.

people with unnecessary comments need to get a life everyone has different incomes and if beyonce is someone u feel is worth spending that amont on then that’s that, it doesn’t make you crazy it just means its something that interest you and you can afford. If you have a problem with the VIP prices obviously its not for you then or ur just not into beyonce, i wouldnt bad mouth u2 if they had tickets for $1000, those tickets arent for me because I’m not that much into them. Buy the 20 dollar tickets if the price is that big a deal to u. I already have my diva zone VIP tickets cause someone bought the last big vip tickets right in front of my face. Beyonce is worth it, in my personal opinion.

You know what I am not a big concert goer, nor am I a big fannatic of any one particular artist. However the hate being dished on this page is really unbelievable. I think Beyonce is a talented force and is just unforgetalbe. We should all be in awe of her talent and be happy as women that we have such a beautiful, positive role model for young women to look up to. As my favorite lyrics go… “Thats cool people hated on Jesus”……If you don’t have haters then your not doing someting right. Go head “B” do your thing.
