Zac Brown Band Wins ACM — But Fan’s Work Not Over

You did it Zac Brown Band fans!

The Academy of Country Music Awards announced that Atlanta’s burgeoning country act won the fan-voted nomination for Top New Vocal Duo or Group; joining a few other prominent acts (Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town and Sugarland) with Georgia connections.

But now there is more work to do, as fan voting starts today at VoteACM.com for Top New Artist — for which the Zac Brown Band is now contending.

The winner in that category – and of course, all of the others — will be announced April 5 at the 44th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, airing at 8 p.m on CBS. Voting closes that day.

Planning to vote again for the Zac Brown Band? How do you think they’ll fare against other nominees Jake Owen and Julianne Hough?

Oh – and one other thing: Zac Brown Band is performing on GAC-TV’s “ACM Top New Artists” special March 19 at 10 p.m. .
