EMT, is a horrible job!!!! As one poster, Jamie above incorrectly pointed out: You can easily find a job making $750 a week, then states its not easy. Do you think you could be more wishy washy next time. I have grossed over $750 a week, but I put in a lot of hours. The job just wears your body out and you are often times mistreated by the nursing staff and nurses fear their jobs because a skilled paramedic can do it for way less. But in all fairness to nurses, they get burned out as well due to volume. In my experience, nurses tend to be more polite outside of metro areas.

I left law enforcement for EMS and I thought LE officers were treated crappy. WOW!!! For me, EMS is on the worst list for a reason. Been injured twice and one time was directly related to the work.

I can say CNA 's are the most underpaid and unappreciated people you can find. I work as a PCT (patient care technician), that's fancy for a CNA with extra work. I draw blood and do EKG's in addition to pateint care. The course is longer then the CNA eight months vs four weeks. You would never know it, they treat PCT's just as bad as CNA's. In fact they still refer to us as "Aid's". I make $15.00 an hour plus a $2.00 shift diff on weekends. We work with two PCT's and five nurses on my floor. The nurses treat us like absolute S#@%! Why I'm still there? No idea! I can tell you this, I play lotto every week lol.

I work as an EMT in were I can say first hand that we don't get payed for what we do. I work a 48 hours, most of the time dealing with drunks and drug users. I have worked too many pediatrics codes, putting my licenses on line, all for less then 11.00 dollars an hour.

Remodel Project Management is also one of the worst jobs in America. Low pay for the 18 hour days and handling complant after complant. HGTV is the biggest contributer to the remodle world because they set the expectations that a remodel in your house can be done in a few days, NOT IN THE REAL WORLD! Project Mangers have very high stress for little pay.
