Been away from the computer (and thus the blog) for a couple of days. Found your post (don't ask me how it ended up in spam) and approved it on the blog. Sorry about that. I normally check this every day, and usually two or three times at a minimum, but I've been busy with some other things. Checking the blog filters is something you have to skip on your anniversary (with the wife), know what I mean? :)

As to your last comments addressed to me, I'll have to say you're pretty much dead on target in my opinion.

I have to give Kudos to Woody for playing Teague last night. He stuck with Teague in the game even after his few miscues. In the past, he would have gave his young PG the quick hook after such mistakes... Good Job Woody b/c I know I ride you hard on these blogs but I want to give you Kudos when you earn them as well (at least in my eyesight).

Ray, what hurt Teague tonight is the lack of consistent mins leading up to this game. If Woody had played him 10 - 12 mins each game he wouldn't have look so unprepared. Of course it's a terrific win for the Hawks but don't get too carried away with this Woody lovefest. The Hawks have to get to the point where they can win games as well as develop players in a regular rotation regardless of the score. As it's going now JJ will average 40 mins a game and be worn out for the playoffs. Most likely this leads to an injury and gives Woodrow a built in excuse for not winning.

Teague definitely wasn’t ready for this level of competition, but I like how Woody threw him in that fire anyway. Lesson learned, I’m sure. Good burn for the kid, and good timing by Woody

But if he gets little burn by Woody oner the next few games - to bad. hard to argue he has earned it.

Ray,

Last year you tended to agree with me. You have seen me put up post after post about balance. Josh is an all star if the voting is fair and Al is starting to make noise because Woody is stating to feature him a little more.

We still are a little more back court predominant than I would like but we are defiantly going in the right direction. In limited minutes ZaZa and Joe Smith came up big tonight.

Do you agree or disagree. Jamal has been great, Bibby has been great, JJ has been great. JT has shown flashes of good.

I still think our strength is our front court. Woody is getting there but still has not directed his back court to give up the ball even more. Nire and others do not agree with me on this most important point. Because of history and other stats they think the Hawks will be a back court first team. By the end of the year can we become balanced - (unselfish) and just what is good for the team?

I assume tonight was a big step. Do you think I was wrong? or is the balance the best it is going to get?

Hopefully we can wipe the floor with the Hornets. No CP3 (he got hurt tonight) and the first game for a career loosing interim coach. We need to take their heart away early in the game...

A good early season statement to let folks know that they cannot take the Hawks for granted.

Now we just have to stand up on the home end of a back to back and make sure that the Hornets don't steal one while we are enjoying the Celtics victory.

Happy, happy, joy, joy :-)

Good burn for the kid, and good timing by Woody for giving it to him in the first quarter. He would have hurt us playing late in the game, when we needed poise and stability (Bibby).

Keep this up and he'll move up the pecking order for COY. Oh hell, then we'll have to throw Samuel a party!

Hey....with this many positive comments about Woody, poor ol' Truth Serum won't know what to do! :)

Woody made the right moves out there. The guys stepped it up every chance they had, and never let up, mistakes and all. Boston never could smugly pull away, like they used to in the past. They'll be lookin' for blood next time we meet up. Well somebody call the Red Cross, because they lost a lot tonight.
