Auburn can’t let anyone forget ‘kick-six’ against Alabama

Auburn can’t stop itself.

For Big Cat Weekend, the SEC school’s annual recruiting push in May, it wouldn’t let prospects forget that it beat – or how it beat – state rival Alabama in the Iron Bowl.

Chris Davis’ miracle return of a failed Tide field goal – as time expired – was immortalized on the field of Jordan-Hare Stadium.

And as if that wasn’t memorable enough, they had a cutout of Davis running back the kick in the locker room.

And in case you forgot what it looked like:

Idiot Barn fans cannot even spell.

Where all the lil mutt fans at? Sure are quiet.

Hope Clemmy puts another as* whipping on them like last year.

Wish Bama was playing those losers again this year.

Like it or not, the kick 6 is forever part of college football lore with the likes of Flutie’s Hail Mary and Appy States win at UM. Get ready because it will be shown for years to come. WDE.

My favorite Auburn joke:

What are the tree most common lies told by Auburn fans?

3 My trailer is paid for.

2 I didn’t know she’s my sister.

I can’t believe the Tide has a 2 game losin’ streak :(

2013 National Champ? Nope

2013 SEC Champ? Nope

2013 SEC West Champ? Nope

2013 State Champ? Nope

Dang, maybe we can play Stillman College for the Tuscaloser city championship. I sure hope they don’t run that dang Hurry Up offense or we might have a 3 game losin’ streak :(

100 years from now, this play will still be recognized as the greatest finish in sports history, not just college football history. Because of what was at stake, the intense rivalry, the David-slaying-Goliath moment, the catch-and-run with :00 time on the clock, the exclamation point on a 12-month turnaround from worst season in AU football history to the greatest moment in AU football history, and the impeccable execution of a return team, escorting a Birmingham senior who was passed over in recruiting by the losing team, gloriously into the end zone. Hollywood couldn’t have written this script.

I'm a Dawg but...

If Bama had won in similar fashion, or Yechhad beaten UGA in like manner, or Ole Miss vs Miss State, etc..etc..the victorious fan would be just as vocal as the Auburn fan. It was a heckuva play, he most certainly DID NOT step out of bounds and Bama lost.
If that had not happened, the most celebrated play would be their equally as unlikely win over UGA last year. Face it, folks, Auburn is pretty good. And just a bit lucky.

I prefer the other Miracle in Jordan-Hare. It was an incredible – and quite satisfying – comeback by the Auburn team. I’ve watched the miracle play more than a hundred times since then, and it gets better every time. I especially savor the sick look on Richt’s face. It was priceless.

Priceless.

Give Awbarn credit, they pulled off two miracles. The demolition of Missou wasn’t a surprise. How did they do it? LOS…tremendous experience there. Problem is, 2014 and a lot of replacing to do. I give them zero chance at defeating Georgia. They will have a better chance against Bama, but that is unlikely as well. 8-4 and the Gator Bowl look likely for the Barners.

Auburn wins the west easily again this year–best offense in the SEC. alabama’s QB ==not that good–AU wins that game by 10. AU beats ga, lsu and a&M easily, then lays a beatdown on south carolina in the SEC title game.

Jack Mehoff

Auburn will be better this year but will not have the luck factor or the schedule. Their schedule is hard across the board so no room for error. The good news is the best QB they will face is at MSU.
